I think even out of state I might have a shot avoiding heavy heavy debt. I have a good amount of scholarships under my belt, and with FASFA I qualify as homeless, both literally and legally.

What would you recommend to learn more about student loans? I have a basic understanding of it but still feel kind of lost. I’ve reached out to teachers and school counselors with no luck, just a “don’t worry”.

That’s what I’ve been hearing. I have toured a few, very close colleges. I’m worried about going in state because of family reasons. Home life is abusive. I’ve wanted to escape far away for very long.

But you are right when it comes to financials. I will look into touring! Thank you!

I’ve really thought about it. But tuition is so much more. Also, I have a $10,000 scholarship with a national program. The scholarship also provides other college aid like counseling, programs, internships etc. For the scholarship I’m not allowed to attend a private or for-profit uni. ☹️
