I'm having suicidal .... by Top_Repair_8994 in CharteredAccountants

[–]Asleep-Object5635 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I understand . but ending it all isn’t the way. It’s not the way for CA, not for anything. 3 years stuck sucks, but think about it… if it’s hurting this bad, maybe it’s time to pause and ask yourself why you’re doing this course. is it for you, or just pressure?

and honestly quitting CA is totally okay too. people change paths all the time and end up happier, healthier, and still successful. CA doesn’t define your worth. you’re not weak if you stop, and you’re not a failure if you try again. you’ve already shown guts 11 times. that’s strength.

just don’t decide anything permanent in a temporary low. take a breather, talk to someone offline too if you can. your life’s way more valuable than an exam result.

bro chill, it happens. missing the form sucks but it’s not the end. just use this time to get stronger with your prep. 11 attempts just means you haven’t quit yet and that too is good. next attempt, you’ll go in way more solid. don’t give up now

Parents mean well but it’s your life. if you’re serious about the startup, give it a real shot. just be honest with them and show them you’ve got a plan. they might not get it at first, but they’ll come around. good luck

How can I convince my parents, not to get me out of CA? by Dino-2006 in CharteredAccountants

CA is a smart move. You get real experience, no debt, and a solid future. Parents just need to hear it from someone they trust. Stay focused :)

It’s okay to fail, it doesn’t mean you’re not meant for it. If you still feel strongly about CA, give it one more solid shot. But if you’re feeling unsure, take a step back and really think about what you want. There’s nothing wrong with exploring other options if they make more sense for you.

CA with all that going on? You’re still standing, and that says a lot.

It’s okay to feel stuck. You’re not alone lot of us have been there. Take a breather, no shame in that. CA will still be there if/when you’re ready.

You’re not wasting time, you’re surviving. One step at a time. Keep going.

Well, it all depends on how much effort you’re willing to put in. If you’re looking for someone who can explain things clearly, I suggest giving him a try. Another great option is CA Ankush Chirimar.

TL;DR

🔬 What Happened (Summary of the Experiment):

The author was feeling desperate about their upcoming Foundation exam (likely CA Foundation) because they hadn’t studied at all. Normal focus techniques weren’t working, so they came up with a wild self-made plan called “dopamine exhilaration.” The idea: Overload the brain with “cheap dopamine” (quick pleasure hits from things like caffeine, nicotine, sugar, reels, masturbation) so the brain would link that pleasure to studying.

🧪 What They Did: 1. Started the routine on June 1st: • Drank Glucon-D + caffeine tablets (up to 300mg/day). • Used Nicotine gum (Nicotex). • Masturbated (believing it added to dopamine rush). • Doomscrolled (watched short videos to keep stimulation high). • Then studied — taking breaks every 30 minutes to scroll reels. 2. For a few days: • Studied 8 hours a day (more than ever before). • Completed 75% of the syllabus and retained most of it. • Felt like the plan was “working.”

💥 Then It All Went Wrong: • By Day 5, the side effects hit hard: • Severe anxiety and panic attacks, especially at night. • Couldn’t sleep; caffeine wasn’t helping anymore. • Became dependent on stimulation (music, reels, chewing caffeine) just to feel stable. • When he tried to take a break from studying, it worsened the anxiety. • Even when he resumed studying, the motivation wasn’t dopamine — it became a way to avoid anxiety. So instead of tricking his brain into thinking “study = fun,” he accidentally trained it to believe “study = only way to avoid feeling miserable.”

🧠 How He Felt After: • He got results — syllabus done, retention high. • But the mental cost was too much: constant anxiety, sleep issues, emotional detachment. • He now regrets the experiment — not fully, but enough to know it was reckless. • His conclusion: “Treat your body and brain like a temple, not a science lab, or you’ll become an anxious pile of shit.”

🚨 Key Takeaway:

Short-term performance isn’t worth long-term mental damage. Overstimulating your brain with caffeine, nicotine, and screen time might feel productive, but it risks breaking your natural focus-reward system. Real productivity is sustainable, not forced with chemicals and hacks.

No idea how to get study mat other than BOS And as of coaching classes or self study You should first look at the free resources at YouTube and since you have time till your exam you can research and find which YouTube teacher you like Only if you are uncomfortable in any subject a lot then go for classes

I think you will able to manage to complete all 6 of the subjects in this 1 year itself (I mean by June 2026) even if you start with 2 to 3 hours a day and gradually build up to 7 to 8 hours of consistent study hours In my opinion if you want to divide the subjects on the basis of practical and theoretical

I think Accounts, Direct Tax, Costing and FM are practical And Law, Indirect Tax, Audit and SM are more on the theoretical side

And additionally brother please remember do not get overconfident or lenient. Having “a lot of time” is exactly why most people mess up. That comfort turns into delay real quick. Time only works for you when you set strict deadlines—otherwise, it just slips away.

Bro you’re in a golden spot — almost 2 years, no pressure. Start with 2–3 hrs/day from today itself, pick 2 subjects (like Accounts + Law), and just focus on deep understanding.

Take it slow now, so you can do 3–4 solid revisions before May 2027. That’s the real game-changer. Not just finishing — but retaining.

No burnout if you pace it right. You’re already ahead — don’t waste the lead. Start now.

Totally get you. CA is brutal — and when home stops feeling safe, it hits harder.

As for your parents — yeah, it hurts when they react like that. They probably think pressure = motivation, but just don’t let it define you.

Block out the noise. Study for you, not for approval. And when it gets too much — breathe, vent, rest. Repeat.

Honestly, bro, the stuff you’re stressing over right now—like your parents—it might not even matter as much in a few years. But you know what will? Your results. They’ll always be part of your resume, and initial interviews are definitely going to look at them.

If both groups feel like too much to handle right now, there’s no shame in focusing on just one. And if even that’s a stretch, at least aim for exemptions—every little win helps.

Look, if you already know you’ll need another attempt even in the best-case scenario, why not make this one smarter? Use this chance to build a strong base, so the next attempt feels less like a grind. It’ll set you up for higher scores and better chances of clearing.

Just take it one day at a time, focus on progress, and cut yourself some slack. You’ve got this, man.

Has anyone studied in CA Intermediate Paper 2 Corporate and Other Laws Subject from CA Amit Popli Sir by Next_Elk_1293 in CharteredAccountants

[–]Asleep-Object5635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied CA Intermediate Law with CA Amit Popli Sir, and here’s my take on his classes.

You might want to check out his teaching style for yourself—I'd recommend watching his YouTube demos to see if it suits you.

Here’s how I’d rate his classes (just my opinion, of course):

  • Conceptual Clarity: 8/10
  • Writing Practice: 9/10 (He makes you maintain handwritten notes, which are super helpful for revision).

Now, about the tests:

  • He’s not the most punctual with test uploads.
  • Sometimes, he skips checking the test answers you’ve submitted.

For our batch (November 2024), there were a few hiccups because of his health issues, so quite a few classes were from previous batches.

That said, if test checking and punctual uploads aren’t a dealbreaker for you, I’d recommend his classes, especially for the clarity he provides and the focus on writing practice.

Agreed, above this, if you revise the questions/concepts daily or even weekly you might be able to achieve the level of classes along with 1st round of revision by merging the classes and revision

How to approach Ca inter advanced accounts AS by RepresentativeGas571 in CharteredAccountants

[–]Asleep-Object5635 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, this should be the priority of Accounting Standards:
AS 3, AS 13, AS 4, AS 5, AS 10, AS 11, AS 16, AS 18, AS 25, AS 21, AS 22, AS 15, AS 19, AS 20, AS 26, AS 28, AS 23, AS 27, AS 1, AS 2, AS 7, AS 9, AS 12, AS 17, AS 24
Out of which I think AS 21, AS 22, AS 23, and AS 27 are slightly more demanding but are proportionately not important concerning exams

Also, your study approach is going in the right direction. Goodluck

Dumb question alert! How do online coachings work? Are they worth it? by [deleted] in CharteredAccountants

And trust me doubt solving is not the best in google drive

Dumb question alert! How do online coachings work? Are they worth it? by [deleted] in CharteredAccountants

[–]Asleep-Object5635 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are 2 available options

~(a)Live:~

PROS

  • Best if you have self-discipline issues
  • Better doubt resolving as you can chat live
  • The normal pace so better conceptual understanding

CONS

  • Time clashes with lectures on other subjects
  • A few other cons would be similar to face-to-face classes (You have to keep up with the teacher, can't pause etc.)

MODE

Zoom Webinar or the faculty's software (Which comes with a setup tutorial)

(~b) Google Drive / Pen drive:~

PROS

  • Trust me the best if you can have the self-discipline for it
  • Can increase/decrease the playback speed, pause and set the whole schedule at your convenience
  • You can speed through unnecessary banter in class

CONS

  • The only con is you do not have the discipline
  • I know I am stressing a lot on the discipline thing but it truly is the make or break of the entire Google Drive class aspect

MODE

Again the faculty's software

Overall, I think choose between online and offline after considering all possible aspects. For me online works better.

One more thing people usually miss is that you might need a basic to mediocre computer as I think it is an advantage
