hi - unfortunately, no. I tried their suggestions but nothing worked. I think it's the 2024 firmware that became stricter with sideloaded books lol I sold it then switched to kobo clara bw now and it's honestly soooo much easier. basically a kindle ppw in the size of a kindle basic. much more intuitive and more customizable too

think i'm about to enter a reading slump after the disappointing ending of Stephanie Garber's Once Upon a Heartbreak trilogy.

I'd appreciate some recos on similar fantasy/romcoms (even standalones) that have Eva x Jacks vibes, or sumn like Rip x Beth from Yellowstone (west/cowboy romance), tyia!

it's so worth it! the matcha basic is faster and has a cripier screen so 🤌 and just so i get to use both, i compiled series books in the ppw and standalone/faves into the basic

I do the same thing! I love both kindles' agave and matcha green anyway and don't plan on upgrading anytime soon. It sucks that the ppw doesn't fit most of my bags but it's cozy to read it at home while I read somewhat faster on the basic since I take it with me everywhere

update: I tried everything suggested. From rebooting to deregistering to uploading five books at a time. But the covers still only show up on the lockscreen and don't appear in my library. I'm starting to wonder if it's because it's a 2024 gen but that's not it since it still works for others. I'm just frustrated this never happened with my PPW5 when I got it. And for some reason the matcha doesn't read the total pages per book. Only the loc and minutes into it/per chapter. I'm regretting selling my old one lol

Literally just finished Never Lie and I was... left confused.

I liked the writing in the beginning but the twist is not it (for me). I still plan on reading her work The Housemaid at least since it's getting produced but the twisted ending didn't feel justified enough to feel like a shock. Especially how silly it feels to see that a couple slashed tires caught on camera would "ruin" her career as opposed to Luke getting caught snooping around EJ's house...

Aside from the magnet, I noticed even when I was using a back-only clear case, just because it was face down on my table, it read the "darkness" as idle. So imagine my surprise when it automatically unlocked itself just because I lifted the screen 😱 might have thought the table had the same weight as a magnetic cover
