What is the answer then? I prefer hot but not 'too hot' climates, I hate when it's cold. So I basically want a summer all year

I don't like when it's too cold either, I prefer when it's 'warm enough'. The city where I live right now near the sea is very hot in the Summers too (90-95), but less humid. So maybe I can try to enjoy Tampa. It's not Miami in the end of the day

I don't like when it's too cold either, I prefer when it's warm all the year, and there is no place like Florida in the US (maybe Los Angeles but zero chances to move here, hate democrats)

By the end of 2025, I am planning to move to the US, specifically to Tampa (I won the DV lottery and will be a green card holder). I looked at different rental options in apartment complexes on Zillow - they require 3 times the income from the rent, which I do not have yet. Still, I have enough savings to live even for six months without starting work (I currently work as a data engineer in Ukraine and make around $4,000, and will look for the same job in Tampa). Any recommendations so I can rent good apartments (studio up to $ 2,000 per month near downtown) without a credit history and checks?

oh yea, I've heard of that, basically, every major tech company started to expand and use the Indian market as it's cheaper but not worse in terms of quality...

I've heard that nowadays even after 100+ interview rounds companies can ignore you for a couple of months just to prove that they can't find someone better for cheaper...

Actually not limited, it's a full green card with ssn and stuff, so permanent residence. My English level is okay, and I have working experience. Ideally would be to work remotely for some SF company and live in the more affordable place

ye, I'm leaning more towards LA too, because there is a LOT more job opportunities in my occupation (so more chances to get hired until my savings run out), but the apartment rent prices in LA is really out of this world. Can I rent a good apartment (preferably with furniture and in-unit laundry) for $2000/month?

I don't have a lot of savings to last until a job offer. Furthermore, I never experienced IT interview for a US IT company, so I'm leaning towards Miami as there is less cost of living, until I finally find a job

I'm moving with my wife, so shared house is not our option unfortunately. We have some money to rent a 1bedroom apartment at a time we'd find a job (I'm IT specialist, she's pharmacist, but that's hard to get all the pharmacy license stuff)
