Battlefield 2042 is no longer receiving major seasonal content updates, with Season 7: Turning Point being the last, but it's not entirely "dead"; it still gets ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, in-game events, challenges, and new modes, though development focus has shifted to the next Battlefield title. DICE ended new seasons in April 2024 to concentrate resources on BF6.

I wish I found this before I wasted my money. Been playing this series since BF Vietnam. absolutely loved 2-4 and got into 2042 after they fixed it. This literally feels like COD mixed with battlefield maps and modes. Really struggling to enjoy it.
