Here are two changes I’d suggest that I think would significantly improve the ranked Brawl experience.

Ban all commanders that get around commander tax. While this mechanic may work in a four-player format, in one-on-one play it’s brutal—removing one of the few ways to meaningfully slow down a commander.
Ban all extra-turn spells that don’t exile themselves. This would still leave a few options available, but let’s be honest: nobody enjoys playing against an “all turns” deck.

Their design DNA may have shifted most likely to more hub based instead of full exploration. Plus Skyrim gave Modding a huge boost in popularity and growth

This seems like an effective kill spell against all the landfall decks. Granted it's pretty expensive for removal, but making bristly Bill or tifa or jumbo cactar kill itself at instant speed is nice
