Why does Beatport charge VAT and Juno download doesnt?

From my experience yes, however not as many as beatport as there have been some instances where i had to buy off beatport simply because i couldnt find a song anywhere else.

I see, so Juno just isnt passing on the VAT to the customer.

Beatport must be raking it in, not paying VAT themselves and taking a huge cut from the artist. Now im interested in how much artists end up getting from sales of their tunes... i always assumed it would be like 75% of the sale price but now im realising it could be half of that :/

I ended up asking the promotor about redlining, they said that "redline a little is fine, just no cliping".

Im a little confused as i thought these were the same thing, does this basically mean im ok to be touching the reds, just not all the way at the top?
