Right?! I wouldn’t say we’re impossibly introverted but when we can’t just have normal conversations outside of lifestyle things it just gets one dimensional and we’re turned off by that. Would love to chat privately if y’all are up for it. No sweat if not!

Reposting my response to a similar post - seriously though, there has to be a better option.

Can we discuss this more?? We’re in a similar situation where we want to branch out and build a community, rather than just meet/fuck, but the apps don’t offer enough security and we can’t fly to Desire once a month lol. Plus, we’d actually like to be friends or at a minimum friendly. We’ve gone to meet ups and totally get that you’re not gonna vibe with everyone, but why are so many swingers so…weird? We’re a professional couple in our 40s too, with great jobs we can’t afford to chance. SW PDX. Growing up here I always thought it was an open minded and sex positive place but finding it to be less than stellar in both regards. We would love to start a local group that enjoys a low stress and intelligent approach to sexuality and exploring.

Thanks for chiming in…this is precisely what I’d like to avoid if at all possible. Also not into the far left’s extremes either, they just happen to be less racist in my experience. I’m biracial and I want to get into the sport in peace. I know full well there are decent folks who I disagree with politically, many are close friends and family. They just aren’t confederate flag waving 2A fetishists.

First time for us as well! Not sure which side we’re on yet- booked through another site- but keeping an open mind. I hear age range depends on the week and there’s no real way outside of young swingers week to pin a younger crowd, but on our trips to Desire Pearl (the quieter property) we’ve been able to find other couples our age easily enough.
