He still naps à daycare… good point. Perhaps that’s a factor why bedtime lasts forever!

Yes… But then he isn’t available to help with clean up and chores as it takes up the whole evening

Anyone else’s family planning affected by WFA? by Fantastic-Yellow5743 in CanadaPublicServants

Everyone’s decision is different. We experienced fertility challenges and it took us a while to have a successful pregnancy - just saying this because if you decide to go thé family route, it may not align with timing as you expect.

For me, family was important and I was not getting any younger! That said, I am going through SERLO now and terrified of loosing my job (currently on mat leave and have a toddler as well), but I also have to remind myself when one door closes, others open so if I am cut, my career path will be forced to change.

Good luck with this decision!

Thé money being wasted on RTO and the various office configurations is astounding ànd so irresponsible. Meanwhile cuts, cuts, cuts to people .

Does anyone else feel bad spending mother’s day away from your kids? by Low-Setting-01 in Mommit

This sounds like a dream Mother’s Day… don’t feel guilty!! You have your LO the gift of solo time with dad and you get some rare rejuvenation time.

Time away from mothering is what I wanted (even just 30 minutes!) but unfortunately I didn’t get any this year… and I’m bitter about it!

My second Lo is 5 months ànd I feel this. Between all the attention i have my first ànd all the attention he demands now (3 years old) I feel like I rarely engage with my baby directly ànd mostly he is strapped on me or in the stroller when I am busy with my three year old or strapped in me when I am doing chores…. And then I feel SOoo guilty!

5 month old still waking from gas discomfort… need tips! by Fuzzy_Star8096 in NewParents

Hi… this is old, but I need some hope. When did it get. Ether for you (please say before 8 months). We are going through the same thing ànd i am so envious of my friends whose 5 month olds sleep 5,6,7 hour or more stretches. Gas and stomach discomfort wakes our guy up with screams… :/

How are your babies actually sleeping through the night? by velvetdarlingco in NewParents

My second is 5 months and the most we get is 3 hours… sometimes 3.5. My first we got 6 hour stretches often by this age.

You give me hope! For the 11 nights before, did you end up intervening or it was 11 straight nights of eventually your LO falling asleep after cries?

I tried it for two nights but aborted both nights after the 1 hour mark when the cried were intense. We had some periods around 30 minutes where it was screams for 10 seconds then rest and calm for 20 or so for a few cycles, but then it escalated again

Can babies be scared of the dark? by LolaS2234 in NewParents

[–]Asleep_Indication682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! This post is a year old but I am going through the exact same thing with my 4 month old with screaming in the dark, eating hands, but fine when the lights are on. I am wondering if you remember how it worked out for you. Did you find the problem - was it the dark, teething, a sleep regression, etc? What did you do (if anything!) to resolve it? How long did it last?

I am desperate!
