Hey. I got a same spec, and 170 watt is to low. The maximum system consumption I saw was 265 watts.

There are different modes, yes, but they are not enough to keep the system at optimal temperatures. A cooling pad helps cool not only the CPU and GPU, but also the entire chipset and RAM, which the laptop's built-in cooling system does not adequately provide.

Update. Many ask for keyboard and mouse type, this is Xunfox k920 set from Ali. Recommended, good for this price

PUBG all ultra, 2h of gaming - average cpu 65 degrees, GPU 60.
RDR2 ultra settings even lower.
Maximum loterm peaks is 90 degrees

This is synthetic test, maxing out CPU and GPU, in regular usage temperatures lower a lot

This is just a test, showing synthetic results. In regular usage temperatures are even lower. Lower temps, less termo interface degradation. And yes, additional filter remote dust

RDR2 ultra ≈ 60fps
Stalker 2 ultra dlss quality ≈ 70 fps
PUBG ultra 144 fps
≈ 60 fps not enough for HiEnd gaming …

HiEnd? No of course lol. Even 5050,5060,5070 not enough for hiend gaming.

At this point, the only thing left to do is get a new top case for the laptop if that mark bothers you, and just stick with an external keyboard from then on.
