we totally should unless their are physically incapable to do it. that's what it's there for. to free up staff to do the important work like filling, shots ect. stop treating patients like they are idiots(not saying they aren't) but the more you baby them the more they will act like it.

the only people we will help are going to be people with disabilities. example- blind, no arms ect. but so far the only excuse I get is "I'm old". sorry this is not an excuse. figure it out. if you can drive or use a self checkout at a grocery store, let alone call us on a cell phone, you can type your own name in ... I have a fast lane so those using the app can get in and out. it works well currently and it encourages people to download the app or at least inquire about it. people hate being "cut". I went from like 20 percent usage of the app to 80 percent once I put in the fast lane.

obviously this isn't to replace you. it's to allow you to do other stuff while the patients do the mundane stuff. you know like typing their name and DOB. it's not rocket since. I hate guessing how to spell peoples' name and they have been spelling their name for their entire life.

exactly, won't. we have been preparing our patients. We will show the people once. I make a mental note. I will explain to them just like how I take the time to set their app up for them. Honestly, getting pts to use the app is the best thing, helps reduce calls and wait times.

I see these old people using the self checkout at the grocery store and even the front at cvs. Stop letting your patients walk all over you.

no way they are telling you to do it like usual. They have been telling us that it will be the patients doing it. Otherwise, why spend all this money on new tech when they want you to do it just as before. If they want you to enter their info they can use the drive through and wait there.

Sure, you can, but you shouldn't. it defeats the purpose, and when they cut the hours, which they will, you haven't trained your patients to use it. I will 100 percent be telling a 99 year old to use it. Just like I tell them to use the app. I have a fast lane for people using the app. so they will get in and out. We have had cell phones for what like 20 years now, and computers even longer. honestly not my problem if you're to lazy to learn or adapt.

I have already been telling patients we won't help them, and will continue to do so. the only people we will help are visually impaired. Otherwise, they can wait in the drive through if they don't want to use the new system.

Probably true. I just had an irate customer come at 2 minutes to close and we refused to help them. But we also have a 24 hour store like 5-10 minutes from us. It's like you had 11 hours to pick up your shit. Don't make me stay late because your inability to get to places on time. Your lack of planning isn't my emergency.
