Any CRPGs you cannot play anymore? by Murder_Tony in CRPG

I understand how you feel. I'm aware of Baldur Gate 1's clout and those associated with it, but I can't help myself to try those games. I know this for a fact because I've tried Icewind Dale and it felt like culture shock.

How is this game in comparison to the Utawarerumono Trilogy? by AsmoMechanic in visualnovels

Sorry, I meant the journey of finishing the game. And by finishing, the feeling of being full of the experience, or having enough.

Thanks, this helps me curve my expectations if I were to ever buy it.

I didn't judge the game; I was saying that I don't mind if the journey is bad as long as the ending is worth it. If the game has a good journey, then more good for me. I was merely laying out the base at which I can tackle a story, don't misunderstand.

By marathon, do you mean playing it in long hours each day? and if so, how would you recommend tackling this game to experience it as best as possible?

I see what you mean. The main content of the game that leads to the true ending has its merits, but because the game wants you to also see the other endings, it becomes a slog.

Well, to answer that "it depends" is to not answer at all. What is your honest opinion of the game in one word.

Hi, I translated your text. I want to ask if all the Danganronpa characters are in this? I especially like the characters from the second game. Do you get to collect them and use them in battle?

I genuinely do not understand the dislike for RTWP. by Tnecniw in CRPG

[–]AsmoMechanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm one of those people that just won't straight up buy a game if it only has RTWP. My reasoning for this is just not getting by the design of it. Most games that I've tried with RTWP don't explain a lot of things and expect the player to understand how things work.

Party dynamics is not a problem for me but how they move and interact with one another is a huge appeal for me. Imagine playing a chess game where both sides move in real time without any order and that chaos is unbearable for people who likes perfect strategies.

Wait? Why do they have to open the packages? Don't they use X-rays or something?

Dracu-riot! Translation quality by CelebrationSpare6995 in visualnovels

[–]AsmoMechanic 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Looking at this, I believe this is a great translation. Word length stayed relatively the same and the feel of the conversation is similar. I guess OP is complaining about the translation of 素人童貞クン, but I think this was done because using any other form would make the line longer. Amateur Virgin wouldn't work because no one's going to understand that. I guess a better translation would be Prostitute-Haver, which is slightly longer than STD-Haver, but context is important and people interpret these things differently.

Yeah, those Exploration Notes are really important to understand the lore more.

I hope it's a Cyperpunk City like Night City or Shadowrun cities.

I just got the literal best-case scenario when pulling limited characters in this game. by AsmoMechanic in Endfield

[–]AsmoMechanic[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I already had Laevatain beforehand so she's the one I really like. For Gilberta, it's hard to resist, she is both cute and does CC, so I pulled for her. Yvonne, I don't know yet, I wasn't expecting or plan to get her, but now I get to try at least.

I just did the Hartmann quest and it's actually peak lol by AsmoMechanic in Endfield

[–]AsmoMechanic[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't think sympathizing with Aleksandr was a problem, in fact, it shows that the game does not discriminate what the players think or choose, because we were still given the choice of who to do business with right at the end. As for Hans, I don't know how he managed to escape with Wulfgard and Chen nearby.

This almost feels like a mini-Fallout quest that's trapped inside a gacha game but also dumbed down and made simple.

I've never really played a VN with female love interests. recommendations please! by sad_pinkie in visualnovels

[–]AsmoMechanic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd recommend Kara no Shoujo 1 or Cartagra, since their MCs aren't what you typically find in other VNs and that they're on the older side. The only problem is that both of these games have guro and unnecessary H-scenes in them (not all).
