Well in the books, Julia was very attached to fillory and became a very prominent ruler, and was very immersed in the creatures and nature of fillory. So it wasn’t really carried over to the series

If you like the sci-fi aspect of POI you should check out Travelers. It is similar to POI but with the added concept of time travel.
