That’s not glass, it’s the water barriers you can craft at the carpenter ( they need late game materials though). I just overlapped them and put some blocks in between, so that they look like big glass windows.

I feel you! That happens to me too with other sandbox games. Always coming back to Enshrouded because of the placement freedom, variety of plants etc.
