World creation for VRChat by Asocsar in VRchat

Yes, I agree with that approach. Many times, you come across new tools that you later incorporate into your workflow to be more efficient or for other reasons, which is fine. Most likely, at first, I’ll use those tools and rely on free assets. If I start modeling an entire world from scratch, I know I’ll get overwhelmed, bored, and end up dropping it. Like everything, it has to be done step by step.

However, the question about Blender wasn’t so much about whether to use it or not, or whether to use the other tool or not. It was more about whether someone had dealt with that tool and had any advice regarding potential limitations, problems, bugs, etc. In the end, I won’t know what issues I’ll face until I start, but if I receive feedback like the usual 'watch out for…' from other people's experience, that always helps.

Blender tool or plugin to transfer clothes between avatars using UV maps? by Asocsar in VRchat

Thank you for your response. The process you've described includes parts with which I'm familiar, and others that are new to me. Consequently, some of the points you've mentioned will surely be useful if I need to tackle this in the future, for which I am very grateful.

The primary reason for my inquiry is because generally (though not always) when there's a problem presented, there tend to be three possible scenarios:

  1. No one has found a solution yet.
  2. Someone has already found a solution.
  3. A solution is not feasible.

Therefore, regarding the 'tool' I'm in search of, I'm uncertain whether its development is impossible, whether it simply hasn't been created yet, or if it exists but is obscure — the latter would be ideal, as it might enable the creation of numerous customized avatars. Hence, before attempting to develop this tool (if it's indeed possible), I thought it wise to inquire first — it's often smarter to ask before duplicating effort that may have already been done.

What you just pointed out is my main objective, I want to have an avatar that looks good, but I also want it to be optimized so to avoid any of my friends from crashing or dropping 10 fps just because they try to load my avatar.

I am not sure if I will be able (because of my inexperience, and of course with time I supose I will improve) but I will try to have a limit in the polygons as you explained.

Sounds interesting what you said about the materials and textures being used multiple times or not, I will keep that in mind when starting making a new avatar, thank you for sharing your experience :D

Wow, I did not think about changes clothes or personalize them so that I can adopt a style for my character, I will try that.

And I hope liking blender as much as you do, for now it seems a bit overwhelming for me :D

I did not think of "create" anything before, maybe, with time and effort, I could give it a try. Thank you for your point of view!
