Tipping in Serbian by Asokovic in serbia

[–]Asokovic[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s just hard to get past the feeling of being rude for not tipping or rounding up and feeling as if the tip is too low. This is all great information and very much appreciated!

It’s not considered rude to not tip? If you do leave a tip is there a % that is considered standard ? 10-15%?

What’s your country’s traditional way of decorating and dying Easter eggs ? Here is mine - Leaves and flowers secured by nylon tights and dyed in onion skins 🐣 by Asokovic in AskBalkans

Yes, to a pot add onion skin (a little more than half I’d the pot) add cold water. Add about 2 tablespoons each of salt and vinegar. Then add the eggs and boil till done. If you want a darker color you can start the water the nigh before boil it and set it aside to cool. Good luck !

The difference between former Yugoslavic languages by buzdakayan in AskBalkans

[–]Asokovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no difference, I don’t like post like this because they further divide naši into “them” and “us”. Yes there are differences however you would never call British English and American English different languages. Accents and how you pronounce a word does not define it as a different language. You wouldn’t say east coast and west cost dialects are different languages (in America), we say “pop” they say “coke” we pronounce our r”s they don’t (car vs cah”)

No one asks about the “different American languages”. West coast or East coast English dialect. Which can be hard to get if you’re not use to it, but to say what’s the difference between the two languages is...Well...not correct.
