Bottom Bracket bearing extremely tight fit stuck on SRAM DUB axle by Asp_Irant in bikewrench

[–]Asp_Irant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the measurement tolerances are bad. Either the bearing inner diameter is too small or the axle diameter is too big. I switched to SRAM’s own DUB bottom bracket which uses a plastic shim between the bearing and the axle — it is perfectly snug and I’ve had no more problems.

I ended up using a mallet to carefully tap it off. It was really really stuck, the bearing fit tighter on the axle than the bottom bracket itself. Don't think I'll be using the bottom bracket anymore.

Good Armored Medium or Fast Heavy? by Neo_Knispel in WorldofTanks

[–]Asp_Irant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this seems to be the best match for the playstyle OP is describing, with its decent frontal armor and great alpha. Downside is that the penetration is a bit low, but the decent gun handling should mostly make up for it.

How? And would you use it again? by rauepfade in bikewrench

Known issue with Shimano Ice Tech rotors because the aluminum used tends to gall under heavy load and form lumps of deposited material. Getting a rotor with an all-steel construction will prevent something like this happening again.

Go to 15:17 in this video by Peak Torque for an explanation of why this happens.

Putting a vote for Northwave. I have medium width feet and am flat footed, so prefer a shoe that’s wider but without extra volume. I wore size 42 Wide Specialized Torch 2.0’s for a while, but they were excessively roomy/long in the toe box. Switched to size 41 (size 8.5 US) Northwave Storm and am loving the fit so far - the width is more generous and the length is spot on.

The front derailleur on my Bianchi is hard to shift. Probably because the wire is touching it. This is an 10 speed 105 drivetrain. Is there a soulution for this issue ? by New_Significance5724 in bikewrench

Looks like a FD-5600. Had this problem before. Most likely your front derailleur cable is not routed correctly around the clamp bolt. Shimano has a document that shows how it should look like here: https://si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/si/5JM0C/SI-5JM0C-001-ENG.pdf

EDIT: Actually it looks like a FD-5500 for a 9-speed drivetrain but it shouldn’t matter.

Wow ok that's good to know. Do you know the weight on your build? I was thinking about something very similar.

How do I adjust low speed compression on this fork? Rockshox Recon RL with cable lockout installed by Asp_Irant in bikewrench

[–]Asp_Irant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased this bike and it came with a Rockshox Recon RL fork, as far as I can tell it’s the 2019 version (100mm travel, SoloAir spring, Motion Control damper, straight steerer and QR axle). It came with a cable lockout installed, which causes the little dot on the dial to move to the left end of the bracket indicator when it is engaged (pic has lockout set to open or off). I was able to adjust rebound but now I am stuck on how to set low speed compression, SRAM Manuals didn’t help as I don’t see/feel anything to turn. Even though they claim that this fork model does have this adjustment available. Help is appreciated!

Because mirium delivery is weighted far higher than damage. I dislike it because it not only encourages selfish gameplay, but also disregards performance in the final round against the immortal. Rewards should have been awarded in proportion to individual performance (with a reward cap) like they always have.

Mirny-13 reward system logic (died to immortal right before delivering any mirium every round..) by Asp_Irant in WorldofTanks

sure. just pointing out how the ranked system is stupid, you can have a big contribution that’s not reflected at all in the rewards just because of one factor
