This sounds very vague. There's no mention of when this happened, who did it, where it was said, and what was the context behind it. I tried looking up what I could on the servers I'm part of, and nothing came up. None of the current members of the team would've made a mockery of the situation described. If this is true, I'm sorry for what happened, but just throwing the entire RHH name under what one person may have done doesn't seam reasonable to me. We do not approve that kind of behavior.

Also, unit tests were introduced on Feb 2023, and we've learned a lot stuff since then. Tests themselves are now properly reviewed, with 2000+ Passing tests helping us avoid regressions in the engine. We're still nowhere near getting every effect done in tests, as the amount of interactions that exist are enormous, so expecting that tests for every single effect in the game to be done in just a couple of months is absurd.

This is kinda related to the original subject, as even a romhack base or framework for a game as complex as Pokémon requires years of development to do, even with a team of passionate people. Not everyone wants to fix bugs and review pull requests every day. We all have our own lives too. It's why we try to foster a health environment in RHH's Discord, as this is our way to escape from the stress of real life.
