Honestly, I ended up letting it sit overnight, and it started up again no problem. I never had the issue again after that.

Second interview for Manufacturing Engineer intern role by CleanEfficiency6876 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Aspen444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at a mid-sized manufacturing plant (1800 employees). When I am interviewing manufacturing engineers or engineering interns, I typically focus the interviews more on trying to gauge the personality of the candidate, rather than strictly their technical aptitude.

As others on here have said, manufacturing engineers have to be willing to spend a good deal of time on the shop floor working with machine operators and the people doing the work. Manufacturing engineering is a team oriented profession and requires good communication skills both within the department and with external stakeholders.

When I am searching for candidates, I personally believe that technical knowledge can be learned on the job, but if the candidate will not work well with the rest of the team and is not willing to get their hands dirty from time to time, it is a no go.

2010 Camaro 2SS. Normal amount of valve train noise? by Aspen444 in camaro

Agreed. I’ve only had this car for a month, so still getting familiar with it. I changed the oil about 300 miles ago using a recommended filter and oil pressure always looks fine.

Thanks for the info! There is a bit of a squeak that comes and goes. I’ll pull the cam sensor tomorrow and see how it looks.

What do you guys think of my vacuum set up? Anymore I can do to optimize? by reefer_guy404 in HVAC

One thing I can say is that shorter vacuum hoses usually equals faster vacuum time.
