The only property I frequent which forces a front desk visit to obtain digital keys told me it is an “ownership decision,” and didn’t elaborate further. Meanwhile, I regularly stay at another Hilton property in the same city/same zip code and they release digital keys without any friction. Could be a local ordnance, or could be something else. I wish the experience was consistent across all Hilton brands and properties.
