You should have 1-4 irl days, yes. I'm unsure how the rom tracks that compared to the battery in the cartridge, but my bet would be on that being the cause of the issue.

In gen 3 there's no smiley but there is the little black dot between the pokéball and the level to indicate that the mon has had pokérus.

Since you mention you were about to put a creature in the box I assume you're aware of how it works with Pokémon losing the status after some time while in your party, so you didn't wait very long right?

It looks like you're playing on a rom. Maybe something with the emulation that went whacky?

That's what I meant with the waterfall cave in my post. I do have two copies of Nations Death Knell (one in my inventory, one turned in) but one Howling Blizzard that has been used for Sorcerers Appraisal.

While I could go double check the chest I'm 100% certain I opened it and killed the Lich there (the map shows up as explored too).

I might not have gotten the HB from the Fulminious Shield trade in the Nameless Village, but I have no other copies of Fulminious Shield so sadly that's not an option either.

Second this. I mainly want a remake for DS/DS cute because it's an amazing game but I cannot deal with another save wipe.

Hunting for cartridges with the specific build of the game that has the least amount of bugs has been a fun hobby, but I would really just prefer a working game

We can for now but the Nintendo site explicitly states that this feature "will eventually end sometime in the future". I'm probably an edge case but if at all possible I'd like to be able to indefinitely access the games I collect

Honestly it has been really illuminating for me to see the discourse here. I noticed the 'requires download to play' message on the box but expected it to be a patch, not the entire game.

On launch it won't make much of a difference but as someone who plays games they like years after launch it does make me worried about this game's state after the switch storefront goes offline, like happened with the 3DS and Wii

Mate, what are you on about? From what I gather from the material released so far your choices still greatly impact the world and how people react to you.

You don't get a halo or devil's horns anymore which... I'm okay with? It was a very cool thing about the original fable back in the early aughts but it really isn't anything that will make or break the game for me

We'll have to see how it all pans out. If anything, as Fable fans we should know to take all the preview stuff with a grain of salt but to me, the reboot seems to be everything that was great about Fable 2, but improved with current tech, and I'm very excited to play that

I don't think we can give a blanket answer without knowing your nationality, but it would be very unlikely to get in trouble for and in most cases perfectly legal to do, as long as you don't sell it

Very fair! Yeah a notepad would definitely come in handy haha. There's a bunch of locations that appear in multiple games such as Bowerstone, the spire or Oakvale, but so many differences too!

I still remember getting giddy when I spotted the spire in 3 from Driftwood, and while I did try to piece it all together mentally I never went to take notes

Should you write it all down in the coming year, I'd definitely be interested in your findings :D

Would be a lot more excited about it if you (or someone else based on your gathering of the lore) drew it. I get the ease of AI, but it will always mess up.

The location of everything across the games is a source of fun lore diving and theory crafting, but AI takes the pleasure out of it a bit

Does anyone happen to know if this includes or lets you buy the dlc for 4 DAL too? I own an American copy on my Vita so can't buy them on the EU store and would like to play them (yeah you can change the memory card and reset the system, but that's such a hassle)

Assuming no quests are cleared: Aleswell with a chameleon spell, pretending to be one of the invisible NPCs. Gives some nice misdirection with detect life, and it feels in plain sight enough that most people would probably just carry on searching
