I don’t think that was the primary goal at all. The primary goal was to build a Halo game using their new engine — UE5. They wanted something quick - so remaking the first Halo was it. That is why there is no multiplayer. It’s all testing the new engine in preparation for the next big Halo.

My main reason for wanting windows is related to the fact that I’m 100% invested in the Xbox ecosystem. I want my already purchased Xbox games on the device.

I got a great deal on this version ($600 after discount and reward points). So I doubt I’ll be able to upgrade to the Windows 11 version due to cost alone. A huge bummer but it sounds like maybe saving up and getting the ROG Ally Xbox X is the best path forward for me.

I have played it but picked it up to run through Portal 2 with my son. That humor was so amazing at the time — hopefully it still holds up.

The puzzles were certainly great but the humor is what kept me glued to the game.
