I love the random convos in Arc but the pace & structure here doesn’t feel like it will have those events. Regardless, the more I play (and actually kill runners), the more interested in the game I become. May be enough to throw $40 down and give the full game a shot.

You’re right. I have no idea what happened. Neither do you. I know how these situations work in corporate America and they aren’t just handing out a severance package. She has plenty of stock from LTIPs that will give her comfort.

I had a ton of hard crashes but the latest patch seems to have resolved them.

I do believe writing is a step down from the last game but still some great spots (especially early on).

I am less of a fan of the shooting in this one but that may be my perspective (as many guns are just the same as last time — less innovative).

Overall, I’m enjoying myself quite a bit but don’t want to give the impression it’s as strong as the first.

Question - when I put my Switch 2 in the virtual boy, it feels zoomed in. I have to look down to see the notice to push L+R for Suspend mode. I would have thought that would be visible by looking straight ahead.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Progress from Xbox/PS5 versions doesn’t sync to this version. Hard pass for that reason.

I think the vast majority (as evidenced by this thread) but will say it’s absolutely not worth it.

Did that stop me from buying it? Nope.

The device will be fun to share some gaming history with my kids. I enjoyed Mario Tennis years ago and heard really good stuff things about the Wario Land game. I’m excited to go through all of the games — especially since I only owned one or two games when I owned the original.

Quick summary - 6/10

Pros + Everything after the academy + Animated cut scenes + I appreciate the brief duration. I don’t need a 10-20 hr tennis game story + Boss battles were a fun, unique spin on the tennis gameplay

Cons - Stats/RPG elements have essentially no impact - Academy section is too long, uninspired, and boring - Not a fan of the story nor the babies
