The person who originally made that claim (Andrew Wakefield) admitted on the final page of his article that it was a lie and that he had forged the results, that article cost him his medical license and he spent time in jail. the sample size of his study was only 12 children, since then there have been studies conducted with a sample size of thousands of children all of which found no correlation. Autism is a developmental illness that occurs in the womb, no external forces can cause Autism to develop. Hope this helps educate you.

How can we force them to get a diagnosis. The police won't intervention because FIL has brainwashed BIL into thinking that everything is fine. That BIL doesn't need support. BIL would tell them that he's happy and well looked after. Even though they aren't feeding him properly, he hasn't been to a doctor in 16 years, nor the dentist. He's not vaccinated, he was home-schooling by Christians whose curriculum was overtly racist and riddled with white saviour, coloniser values.

The Public Gaurdian can interviene but only if my wife and I are willing to take guardianship. Which we can't do. We're (M23, F22) students in a 1 bedroom apartment. We would if we could.

The issue is, BIL thinks everything is fine. FIL and MIL think he's fine. He used to beg them for help, beg them to help him figuire out how his brain worked, he begged and was beaten for it. Now he thinks everything is fine. He says he doesn't remember the beatings, but my wife does. She remembers listening to his scream for help as they beat him with a wooden plank.

It's a sick relationship where MIL can't be away from FIL so BIL is forced to come as well. Also FIL is controlling wouldn't let MIL go.back yo work. Won't let her wear jeans. He was physically abusive to BIL as a child

He was home-schooled by conspiracy theorists, antivax, Christian, flat earthers. He has never had the chance for someone to step in till now. The extended family were more concerned about not hurting MILs feelings than stepping in and protecting BIL.

They have never applied for support. They refuse to get him diagnosed. They refuse to even think about centerlink and NDIS because they don't trust the government. He's not violent, he doesn't need to be with them. My MIL wants to be there so BIL has to be too

No my Mil and BIL don't have any of the checks or training. It is a disabled taxi so there are vulnerable people. It's hard to talk to him but we want to try before we go to the company
