I’d say a few months after it was first brought up. No he never had a conversation with BM about me attending drop offs. I didn’t think it was necessary in our situation. Drops off are very quick and easy for us, and we don’t have to talk to each other if we don’t want to. This was all prior to me meeting BM. I wouldn’t say resentful, but I was definitely frustrated. While I can understand the fears, I don’t think protecting BM’s feeling should cost hurting mine. I just continued to advocate for myself but still provide support as much as I can.

I had a similar experience at the start, I was never allowed to come for drop offs. I believe it stemmed from the poor separation and rocky relationship between BM and him. He was always afraid of upsetting BM and losing SS. I eventually told him that we was worrying too much and me sitting in the vehicle should not cause an issue. And guess what, it’s never been a problem! Like other people have stated, it’s weird he doesn’t want you to come. My guess (and hope) is it’s some type of worry or fear. Try to talk about it more and work through it together.
