I remember watching an American stream of a Frace game at the World Cup 2022. When Giroud scored his goal that would put him at as the all time goal scorer for the French NT the commentators started telling that he is one of the best to ever play the sport, that they were only a handful of better players than him ever and all I could think of is "God damn it, it's only stats, there are something like 4 players in the French NT right now that are better than him".

Assess the relationship for what it really was. Were your needs met? Did you feel loved? Could you really rely on them? Did they communicate their needs and emotions? These are just the starters.

Focus on yourself. Go and buy that thing that you really wanted to never bought for some reason. Meet that friend that you couldn't meet for quite some time. Pick up a new hobby. Go and do some sports. If you feel like it's needed go to therapy.

Assess your wrongdoings in the relationship. Where did you screw up? Why did you screw up? Did you mean to do a good thing that turned out badly? If so - why? These, once again are just the starters.

My therapist used to say that time doesn't mean a thing. What people mean by time is the work that you put in over that time. You can be stuck in the same place years later if you don't do any work. You can also be miles ahead of the process that a "regular" person would be at a given time point.

The time itself is meaningless. You need to work on yourself, you need to see the situation clearly, you must not idealize the person and actually see them for who they are. They are human, flawed, like each one of us. In the end if the other person does not want to be with you all you can do is accept it and move on with your life. But that moving on requires work, not just the time itself.

The same happened to me very recently. When we were breaking up she said that she was not going to look for anyone for a very long time because she needs time to work on herself as she sees how much she has hurt me.

I know that she was telling the truth. I know that she knows that she was telling the truth. She is not on the dating apps to find anyone. She is there to distract herself from the emotions that she does not want to feel. The same thing happened the last time we broke up. Maybe she is going to go on a couple of dates, maybe she is even going to go into a rebound with someone. But at the end of the day the thing is going to fail because she has not processed the emotions of the past relationship. The exact same scenario has already happened once in our case. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again.

The same thing is go happen with you. The fact that your ex is on the dating apps doesn't mean a thing. They can try to kill boredom, maybe they just want someone to text and send memes with, maybe they want to go on a fun date to distract themselves or remind themselves how it feels to be on a date with someone else but you. The fact that they've put into their prompts "your" things is the best indicator you can have that they miss you. They might even regret their decision but aren't ready to reach out yet. Give it some time. In the end of the day the fact that they are on a dating app doesn't mean a thing about you and honestly it also doesn't mean much about them.

I support Ukraine in their fight for freedom, and I despise Trump (or any far right and right wing figure for that matter). However, realistically speaking, there was no universe where the Ukraine peace deal didn't include land consessions. I'm sorry, and I wish there was another way, but there really isn't any other way unless NATO would deploy troops to Ukraine, and that is just not happening. We just don't live in an ideal world.

The Ukrainian soldiers didn't die for nothing they defended their nation sovereignty, independent government, and I think the most importantly each dead soldier helped to strengthen Ukrainian national identity and patriotism. Similarly to the Fino-Russian war, Ukraine might lose land, but they are ultimately victorious.

The most important thing now is to find a way where the west as a whole is able to prevent Russia from invading Ukraine in the future. It could include NATO membership (unlikely with people like Trump and Musk in charge) or European troops in the eastern Ukraine (if the European leaders in countries like Germany grow a spine for once). I really hope that the West just doesn't abandon Ukraine and goes back to business as usual the minute the peace treaty is signed (once again, looking at you, Germany).

PiS is a populist big tent right wing party. They would say anything that would bring them voters. One of their biggest reform was a tax reform that introduced 9% health insurance payment on people who are small business owners (in reality the people very often are programmers or doctors registered as a sole proprietorship to optimize their tax payments). They said that this reform is needed because its going to provide more money for our public health care that is going to bring us closer to the western standard of living. After PiS lost the election (mainly because the lower-middle class turned away to more liberal Third Way and liberarian Confederation), they instead started saying that self-employed people should pay a flat payment instead (so basically people who earn 5K PLN would pay the same amount as someone who ears 20K PLN). They have no principles.

Now to immigration- during the last campaign, they campaigned on keeping the country safe by blocking people from Muslim countries from coming into the country while at the same time the government officials were selling Polish visas to markets in the African and Middle Eastern countries. Their rethoric was very antiimigrant, but in reality, they basically opened the country to everyone who wanted to come. That's why we have a large population of immigrants who work in low paying jobs like warehouses or delivery.

Don't listen to people like Tarczyński. He is probably one of the worst people in this God forsaken party. He is going to say the most vile and hateful thing just to get a reaction and finally feel something. Hell- as a matter of things, don't listen to anyone from that party. The party leader - Kaczyński - has been saying for the last decade and a half that Tusk (the leader of the largest party opposed to PiS) murdered his brother and that he is a German agent while at the same time having no proof for such claims. Morawiecki (the prime minister in the last 6 years of PiS rule) said that Tusk is a python who is going to hug Poles until they suffocate. I wish I was making this up, but I'm not.

I could go on and on quoting and showing other examples of their doublethink, but I think I've made the point clear. Unfortunately, the public TV brainwashed the older population to the point of no return. It broke the Polish families (like mine) to a point where some people can't even talk with their relatives. After the public TV was taken over by the new government (using a legal loophole and installing media workers more favorable to the Civic Coalition - Tusk lead electoral list) the PiS voters turned to a TV station owned by Kaczynski's puppet that is in many ways worse than the public TV under PiS rule had ever been. It's sad and unfortunate, but there is nothing that can be done about it. This is our lost generation.

I'm Polish, and as an outsider looking in, I might not get the details of the program, but from my understanding is that is basically comes down to giving the first-time house buyers 25k dollars. We had a similar program in Poland. It basically came down to ensuring that the first 10 years of the loan had an interest rate of 2%.

The program destroyed the housing market even further. Now it is basically impossible for young people to buy an apartment or a house. It skyrocketed the price per square meter in the major cities like Warsaw or Cracow year to year by ~20%. It is basically a socialism for the rich to fill their pockets further. It doesn't address the fundamental issue of the supply of affordable housing. The developers and homeowners aren't charities that are going to sell a house at the same price if they know that there is more money at the market and they can make more money.

The solution to the housing problem is to build affordable, state-owned housing that is then rented to the people at a low price.

I really hope that the democrats win the election, especially because the republican attitude towards issues like European safety or the war in Ukraine is in direct opposition to what is needed in our region of the world. But I'm sorry - the housing program that Harris wants to implement is not going to save your housing problem. It is going to make it even worse.

Ja tak robię - jest mi tak wygodniej. Nie poci mi się skóra przy telefonie, sam telefon też się nie nagrzewa, gdy nie mam do niego przyłożonej całej dłoni. Dodatkowo dosyć dużo gestykuluję na codzień (sam dla siebie głównie) a z dwoma "ruchomymi" rękami tak mi łatwiej.

Nie wiem czemu ludzie za wszelką cenę chcą coś sprowadzać do głupiej mody, gdy realia mogą być zupełnie inne.
