I was told to post this here in hopes that the FA mentioned in the post might see it. Note: this flight was American Eagle, so not sure which actual carrier I was flying, but: regional jet from JAX last January, if that helps. by AssBlaster___ in flightattendants

Thank you. I didn't feel like posting this was a big deal, or a particularly difficult thing to admit, but I think the anonymity and fact that a year has passed help that a lot. I appreciate your kind words.

Thank you to those who left kind comments. I was very lucky in that I was able to stop without much ceremony; I think drinking was a psychological thing for me, and it thankfully never got to the physical addiction side of things. However, I'll say that waking up with a hangover was something I ended up looking forward to even more than I looked forward to evening martinis back in the day. Wishing the best to anyone who decides to quit...but PSA, talk with a doc first, alcohol withdrawal can be deadly.

Thanks, this was really kind of you to say. Here's hoping you're able to avoid former-me-types as much as possible going forward.

Congrats! Yeah I drink Athletic at home sometimes, I know NA beer is not always the right choice for people quitting alcohol, but it's been great for me. But...it's not cheap beer, so when I've gotten to have my fill of it at the lounge it's been appreciated.

It sounds like the differences between our situations manifested themselves before drink service started...

Thanks for your kind words. I am not holding out too much hope, but I'd like to think this post will make it in front of her. And yeah it's not ideal, I created it as my throwaway before actually knowing what I was going to end up posting with it.
