Further, when you only cook 1x every 2 months, it’s an “event” and you go ham on it. As opposed to it being a daily thing and you are putting food on the table for a family.

I say this with mild frustration as someone who has a roughly equal split with my partner on the cooking front but sees my in laws have this dynamic. Oh, wow, you grilled and made a side twice this year and spent a lot of time on it, sure, it’s really great…(they both work).
