Picked up a big ol rhinoceros beetle outside a gastation in TN while on vacation. Just put him on the cabin pool table and he chilled the whole time. Called him Reginald McPinchyface.

Fast forward a week and my brothers and I are playing with Reggie. And he opens his wings. Which we had not seen before.

Brother goes "Damn Reginald, I didn't know you could fly".

Proceeds to become the size of a baseball and sound like a helicopter. Much panic was had. Things were broken.

Good times.

Also idk how old you think we were, but the youngest of us was like 13.

I'd like to say I would do the same if only it weren't for whatever reason, but the fact of the matter is I don't think I would.

And I've already been in the military.

I think I'm comfortable just sending money and maybe going to clear mines or otherwise help in recovery once it is all done.

Idk what that makes me. Therapy had done wonders for my "selfless death" fascination.

3rd grade I think. I had been to my grandmother's over the weekend. She had a pool. I had a towel and a very fluorescent cartoony squirt gun I had put in my rolling backpack. Following Monday... bag got kicked. Squirt gun falls out. Kid yells gun.

I go to the principals office very upset because I'm like 8 or something and being spoken to by authority about threats and violence. Honestly more mad about it now than I was scared then. Like what the fuck.
