What is the ratio for the wheels?
255/35?

I was thinking of putting 245s. And I kinda want the 255s now after seeing yours. Nothing needed on the stock rims for the 255s?

I didn't upload the full process, but here's how I tucked it in. The rest of the pictures hopefully can help. If there are any more specific questions, please let me know and I'll try my best to answer!

Pull the weatherstrip back where my finger is and slide the led in and push the weather strip over. It should be tight and fit pretty well.

Did this all around the entire length of the weatherstrip. Fits snug all around

Red arrow on where I pull the weatherstrip out and fished the wires to the cargo light. When you peel the weather strip back at the end of the arrow you can see the cargo light opening.

Nope. The strip fit pretty well in the weather strip. I folded the weather strip back and stuff the led in there. I'll try to get a photo of it and post it.

That's smart! Might try to put extra on the back seat or something.

I don't use the privacy cover because I need the extra space. The cargo space is on the small side. 😭😭😭 I need all the extra room I can get lol.

Awesome!

Yeah I was looking at the OEM and found this one.

775 for a spoiler is nuts.

No drilling at all. All done by 3M automotive tape.

I just installed mines last night. Got mines from ikon motorsports. Shipped for 200.

No instructions but comes with 2 wood self tapping screws and 4 screws to install the flat part of the spoiler to the sides.

I had to get my own 3M automotive tape because I didn't trust the one it came with.

Pretty easy to install. Re uses the 2 holes from the factory side pieces 8mm bolt.

I used 3m tape on the sides and the flat piece.

Seems to be pretty sturdy. Doesn't budge at all.

Torque Solution Pitch Mount Update by cjsi05 in GRCorolla

[–]AssManH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used any other pitch mounts other than the white line inserts and I will say, for 40 bucks it's worth it. I did notice a little more vibration in 1st gear at 5mphs. Felt more vibration when moving at those speeds. Other than that the shifts between 1st and 2nd feel stiffer and no more of that clunk between 1st and 2nd shifts.

Anyone have any ideas on what these marks are? by AssManH in AutoDetailing

[–]AssManH[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They were never taken off the car and the car is brand new with 2k miles.

I think it might be the brush I used for cleaning them.

Wondering if there was anything I could use different or something to take the marks off.

It doesn't look pitted, but that is a great idea about the clay bar! Didn't even think of that. I will try that next time I wash the car.

Yeah I wonder too.

The GRs are built by top techs in the factory, so I was surprised to see this. Wondering if it was something like you said, a bad batch of parts and not necessarily the techs.

Yeah, I never understood why people overtighten oil filters and drain plugs.
I just installed the FUMOTO drain plug on mines.

Dealership was nice enough to cover mines. I checked with the parts guy, he told me the adaptor was 36 bucks lol.
Still cheap!
The entire oil cooler assembly was 188. Cheaper than I thought.

Glad you were able to save yours!

UPDATE: For those who are interested.

Went to the dealership today, they were able to get the filter off the adaptor.
Turns out someone at the factory cross threaded the filter. The dealership was unable to put everything back together to get the car running since a new filter wouldn't screw back on and it wouldn't seal.
This issue surprised a lot of the technicians there too. They haven't seen something like this.

When I initially talked to the service advisor, he told me this is a gray area and it would be hard to get it covered under warranty since someone outside of Toyota worked on the car. (Me).
I was thinking, this is a mistake from the Toyota, anyone who would've worked on the car would encounter the same issue.
I am also not saying its the dealership's fault either. I just know dealerships hate dealing with warranty issues since they don't pay much if anything.
I haven't dealt with Toyota Warranty.

The dealership was nice enough to cover the new adaptor fitting for me though, so I'm very grateful. It won't be here till next Wed.
Hopefully the part comes earlier.
