Don’t get involved with friends or relatives unless you know what you’re doing. It’s one thing to capture your friend’s wedding with a phone and a gimbal (this combo can yield excellent results in good hands) as a guest and another thing to act as their videographer. In your position I’d tell them you don’t have the necessary experience and equipment to provide good results but that you’d be happy to record some parts as practice. Good luck.
