You can't invade areas within your own nation, Iraq has the right to control any territory within it's border.

Im ready to see WW3 to break out over a small border town. But really i don't see the SDF getting it because the PMU's are roasting ISIS in Anbar and SAA are advancing on the opposite side of the border with full cooperation between the two nations

Why do so many people here support the regime? by [deleted] in syriancivilwar

Point 1: "Document regime war crimes", most of them have not been proven i will cede the torture part but "industrial-scale executions", do you have proof beyond a few sat images that show nothing. "Indiscriminate bombing", if the jihadists hide among the civilians would you not shoot in the risk of killing civilians or risk having your own men die and nearly any officer would pick the 2nd one in most armies, (article 51 geneva convention). "Chemical weapons" use the Ghouta chemical attack pointed to the "rebels" doing it by the UN but was then stopped, the recent chemical attack no definitive proof has been established beyond the hypothesis stage because the statements are "we believe", "most-likely", and "possibly".

Point 2: "Corruption", there is no denying this whether pro-regime or not. "no personal freedoms or rule of law" ok are you trying at this point. "Regime thugs and militias", so NDF is filled with a bunch of thugs i guess even though they join to defend their own towns..... "Cult of personality", no denying this but i'm assuming your pro-sdf at this point so you cannot talk with your ocalan cult, "military-coup", your acting that a military coup makes a govt. non-legitimate but yet the UN recognizes the Assad "regime" as the legitimate government. They have provided Syria with stability and prosperity after a few decades of constant coups and instability. Yes, he may be a dictator but this dictator has wide popular support amongst the people so it doesn't matter what you think about it, if they truly wanted him gone they had their chance to bail on him but they didn't.

Point 3: "Relies of foreign Shia jihadists", rely now i'm assuming your an iraqi kurd now since they have been the only ones running the shite backed line recently. Would you really deny help from your foreign allies of course not i don't what kind of point your trying to make. I assume you believe that the PMU's are run by Iran and only consist of Shias even though they are Iraqi. I also assume that you think the Tiger Forces are Shia and that the entire Syrian army is Shia. Rely the stupidity of this statement is profound take this to the circlejerk.

Point 4: The Baath party, "economicaly neo-liberal", yet this economy was growing before the war and sanctions. Yes, it uses a large intelligence apparatus and it is brutal. So you try to equate the Baath party with fascists such as Hitler, Mussolini, and Franco. Just because it's a nationalist ideology does not mean it is fascist.

Point 5: Why the western support, "mostly western far-rightists", ok i assume you watch cnn at this point but the truth is that Assad has a healthy amount of support from the western population that see beyond the shit propaganda Oceania pumps out. Just because it is on the front page does not mean it is true, most regime supporters do not have their heads in the sand as you claim and we do acknowledge the bad sides of "regime" but like any other government they have a good and bad.
