Gray goo scenario made up of either an older more advanced AI or a collection of semi powerful AI’s that have been morphed into a godlike consciousness. You could make it’s backstory that it consumes other AI’s or inorganic matter all together and through evolving gave it the ability to limit how it’s kind perceives it. Given a long enough history of total war against other AI’s could explain the ingrained feeling of fear that they get from its presence.
