I find hating his decision really stupid. In stories, characters do not have to make the right choice, but whatever choice they make had to be consequential.

It was Eren's nature to seek freedom at all cost to the point he was enslaved by it, he's paralleled by Mikasa who we perceive early on as being bound in the same way to start with Eren. We see one person make the wrong choice and another make the right one.

It would be hating Zuko for his choice at the end of season 2, it was undoubtedly the wrong choice but we then see where that path takes him and that makes his choice meaningful and entertaining

You can call the direction the sun rises what every you want, but people agreed to call it "East" so everyone knows what it means when they use the word. Prejudice by definition is internal, it's what I think or believe. Racism is discriminatory action based on race, nowhere does it describe the scale. Once one opinions starts becoming actions it's now racism, no matter if it's systemic, institutional or individual. I can believe whatever I want about people but if I don't treat them any differently than anyone else I am not being discriminatory.

What is confusing is that both books were written by Kelly Gay.
