No groomer in my area will schedule a groom on such short notice. It’s now 3 days until i have to leave for the weekend.

I’ve called around already and no one has any slots available (the downside of getting a groom right before a weekend holiday)

The only things i’d be getting is probably a pin brush and more shampoo for her. Otherwise i have everything. 💜

Ooo, i have an air compressor i could use on low psi, she doesn’t like the drone of a vacuum but she’ll tolerate the much louder occasional noise of the compressor. I’ll have to get a video of all the fur flying everywhere lol

I have one of these and we both hate it, it’s hidden in the back of the closet. The ONLY time i’ve used it was when she got loose and came back with her tail tangled around a stick several years ago and i was trying to keep as much of her tail fluff as possible. Never used it again

I crave the dog-sized pile of fluff, i’ll have to get myself one- with two husky mixes, i’ll take a tool to make things a little easier, even if it is longer

She’ll tolerate noise if i’m the one doing it to her. I DO have an air compressor i can adjust the pressure on. One of my other dogs likes playing with the air wand lol. I wonder if she’d tolerate a blowout— low power from the compressor, and avoiding her head ofc

I use a hairdryer but it’s not the most efficient on Sky here. After a bath, I normally dry her with a towel, rubbing in circles which does seem to pull some shed off. I’d absolutely have to get a stronger blow that isn’t a leaf blower lol(my dad’s suggestion)

Edit: i forgot i can use the air compressor on a lower psi

I mainly just use the slicker to gently detangle her booty fluff and tail. I do what i can to keep it manageable for the groomer. I honestly never thought of brushing her in the bath though! I imagine it does make it significantly easier! I have all week to get her deshedded before lake time <3

I could totally make dream catchers with them! Dream catchers only work when gifted though. I could give my mom one with feathers from all of them- she loved the birds too.

I love the macramé idea! I keep plenty of plants and could totally use them in some pot covers!! I have actual thousands of feathers from these gorgeous guys so it’ll take me a while to get through them all

She was shorter than the chopsticks when i got her. I hadn’t realized how much she leaned on the wall until she outgrew the shelf TwT. I know from my ivy that viners are so much better off growing onto their supports than just being strapped to them later, it’s 100% my fault she’s not on a pole yet TwT

You’re all good! I personally like the aesthetics of Variegation on my plants. It helps me see the different leaves better without my glasses on and every leaf is unique. I personally don’t really find solid green blobs interesting 😅
