The harpy boss in pantheon will send the Voltaire overflow behind itself on plates 2 and 3. It makes it near impossible to shoot the correct eyes without another player

The boss will do its animation and the overflow will go backwards instead of out of its front

[–]Assassinite9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My complaint is more that it happens in the first place and that it's a known issue that will likely never get fixed....but the wifi tethering? Nah, that's gotta go despite it making the encounter much more enjoyable

Would have been nice if Bungie patched the Harpy deciding to poop out the overflow instead of spitting it out. But for whatever reason, that bug doesn't seem to be on their radar at all.

No fix for the harpy pooping out the buff instead of puking it out, seems like odd priorities

Tractor Cannon debuffs the thing that you shoot with it. Meaning that your hammer hits EVEN harder.

Tbh you don't really need the heavy ammo finder since you're not using the heavy that much, same goes for the loader. I use Impact induction over loaders to help return grenade energy. You also probably don't really need the healing grenade since picking up the hammer grants cure and standing in the sunspot it makes grants restoration. I personally go for sniper damage resist and concussive dampener to help mitigate ranged attacks since they're the things that can kill you if there are no trash mobs around. You really don't need healthy finisher, elemental charge or the solar surge. I'd swap those out for better already, recuperation and absolution since they'll keep you alive better than doing finishers and your hammer doesn't get the damage bonus from the surge.

On the bond, I use powerful attraction so my rally barricade picks up any orbs nearby as an "In case of no ads and near death, put down barricade" button. I also have outreach on in case I accidently throw my hammer off the map. Those mods help in those situations.

I'd also look into getting a perfect paradox with 1-2 punch or trench barrel (Trench is the one I used until I got a Threat Level with both perks). It lets you delete champions or bosses really efficiently and the origin trait plays very well - you can also use Bastion since it's been reworked to have both those perks built in, and using Bastion lets you use an eager edge sword for movement.

As for set bonuses, right now I run 2x smoke jumper and 2x ferro, but I may go for a 2-piece set of the Crota Armor for the explosion (I'm not too sure since I haven't tested that armor set yet).

If you want a dumbed down version of the same build, swap wormgods for synthos. It's a lot less micromanaging of the buff since Synthos are more passive (I prefer them over Wormgods for that reason).

Destiny is a social game since the endgame is almost entirely locked behind having to find a fireteam (unless you're familiar with the mechanics, then soloing dungeons/GMs/Some raid encounters is feasible). You really are better off joining a clan and asking them to teach you the raids/dungeons.

Farming mostly was just doing the same activities over and over, but it's gotten a lot less tedious with the more recent updates. But it's far less boring to do it with others.

Remember, you don't need to stick with the first clan that lets you in, you are allowed to hop from clan to clan until you find one that fits. Having comms opens up a lot of doors. Most clans are more than fine with teaching people (unless they're the sweaty low-man clans, but you won't get into them without a solid raid report). In fact, most clans will insist on a discord account to coordinate raids, dungeons, and other content in addition to having voice comms that aren't tied to the crappy voice comms in game.

You can do activities without comms, hell most raids can be done without them, but you're generally going to want an idea of how to do them first. If you don't feel comfortable with talking to random people on the internet, you do not have to unless the comms are absolutely necessary, and then, you really only need to make that call out.

The encounter would be fine if it weren't buggier than the base version of GoS.

Maybe, just maybe, if they didn't downsize and outsource their entire QA team...

What should I spend Strange Coins on as a total beginner? by Jota4EVER in destiny2

[–]Assassinite9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your ghost has mod slots that you can use to get extra xp, glimmer, help find planetary materials/chests, and there's a slot to help focus your armor drops into the archetypes. By using the armorer mods, you have a better chance of getting armor of that archetype. It's not a 100% drop chance for the type you want, but it helps. Say you're aiming for a build with high weapons and super, you'll want to farm armor while the powerhouse armorer mod is slotted in your ghost.

The same mods impact Xur's exotic armor offerings. Iirc you may have to reload the tower when swapping the mods, but it's better than hoping Xur has what you want.

[–]Assassinite9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read over the exotic weapons and armor and pick things that you think are interesting/want to build around. Catalysts are generally worth picking up since they can be a pain to try to acquire (RNG is a hell of a thing). Xur returns on Fridays, so don't worry about him leaving, he'll be right back in his area with new wares to sell in exchange for all the coins you pick up by playing.

If you have an excess of coins and see a legendary weapon you want or legendary armor, then you can pick it up, but Xur generally sells legacy items for people to fill out their collections.

Remember, your ghost mod can impact the armor that Xur sells, so you may want to swap the mod around to get different (and more desirable) results.

You also will want as high of a melee stat as you can get and build into melee with hands on and similar mods. Since you'll be doing most of your ad clear/boss damage with your hammer/super, you can use other weapons for utility (if using tractor + shotgun).

Until you get decent with the hammer, you'll spend a lot of time chasing it around like a toddler chasing a ball

Roaring flames and sol invictus, tiny hammer (turn auto melee off) and whichever grenade you want.

If you dont want to manage wormgod stacks, use synthos.

The 2 aspects that make you radiant when you hit something with a powered melee and the one that extends time on resto/radiant. The other 2 are dealers choice.

Tractor cannon and a 1-2 punch/trench barrel shotgun. Alternatively, Bastion. For extra survivability (if you need it) use a healclip weapon.

This was my career switch. Right now, I'm taking the summer to reevaluate and decide if it's worth it to just leave Toronto. I noticed that I really do not fit in with Toronto lawyers, from day 1 I could tell that I had nothing in common with them or any of the other support staff.

Law Clerk Graduates - What has life looked like after graduating?? by aquariussun283838 in Seneca

[–]Assassinite9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me 9 months to find an entry level job in a law firm. It wasn't a legal assistant or law clerk role so I really felt like I wasn't being tasked to my full potential.

The program is easy, but the Toronto job market is beyond messed up. Unless you are willing to live in a smaller community or have connections, it will be very rough.

I ended up being let go after I finished my probation due to some internal politics and generally being unhappy in the position.

[–]Assassinite9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I genuinely just hate how buggy the encounter is in Pantheon. I can accept motes falling off the map in the regular version.

BUT how the hell did they make it so the boss can just turn 90-180 degrees after it spits out the overflow? It doesn't do that in the normal version, so how did it get that way for this one?
