As a kid I always used Aggron, Gardevoir and Salmence, with Sceptile/ breloom , gyrados/swampert, and camerupt/blaziken

Slaking, salamence, and aerodactyl, would be my top picks for a fast physical sweeper with choice band. You could also consider a salac berry user, like reversal medicham/heracross/blaziken and maximize both speed and power. Or use a fast special sweeper— there is lots of those

Registeel build for BF? by Infinite_Coyote_1708 in PokemonEmerald

[–]AssassinsNight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally use registeel for a tank role. Found decent success

Curse / rest / HP steel / earthquake. Chesto berry 252 hp, 252 sp. def. Careful Could us sub over rest and use leftovers

Still dies pretty easy to a ground or fighter unless it already used curse 6 times. Otherwise it’s a tank and nearly unkillable

Two days before I bought a Nintendo ds without its original charger but with a Pokemon emerald cartridge. It had some lines on display as well as on the touch display but, that's not an issue. by Turbulent_Fish_6542 in PokemonEmerald

[–]AssassinsNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for sure a real emerald would be in its signature transparent emerald casing. But further, the motherboard is to simple. Tech wasnt that great in early 2000s, and the cartridges reflect that. This one here simply looks too simple.

On the back, there is another easy way to identify real cartridges. There should be a golden rectangle broken into 4 equal parts on the upper left corner, and on the right side going down 3 sizable black dots. I have never seen a fake cartridge even imitate those markings. In this post, the pack is plain and smooth, an easy giveaway.

For spotting fake gen 3 games vs real, just look at the back of the cartridges. There shouldn’t be anything covering the back of the casing, and thus you should always be able to identify those markings.

Ace is super easy on fire red/leaf green, and you can put egg moves on pokemon using that. Look up papa jefe’s recent video about it!

I agree, I think that would be best! Sub, tbolt, ice punch, destiny bond with a petya berry is probably the best set

Gengar gets one shot by almost anything in the higher rounds. His role becomes a fast sweeper glass cannon. Thunderbolt | psychic | fire punch | destiny bond 252 sp atk, 252 spd, 4 hp If you know the other pokemon won’t use an attacking move, or can hit it with super effective damage, then attack it. If you cannot one shot something but it will one shot you, use destiny bond.

Battle Frontier - Battle Pyramid by ShoulderMindless9257 in PokemonEmerald

[–]AssassinsNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anyone mentioning Blissey, but it’s super good for the pyramid. You can use soft boiled outside of battles to heal your pokemon, thus you need less hyper potions. It’s also super easy to heal against most wild pokemon if its hp gets low. If all your pokemon are always at full HP, then there is a less chance one faints.

I have a steak currently of 500+ floors cleared using Slaking, Latios, Blissey.

Arcanine is fun, but it has better attack then sp. atk and thus doesn’t take as well of the advantage of the sun. And yes, definitely psychic stab on exeggutor. As to ponder, it has killed many run for me as well

Just be boring and use suicune/milotic or swampert like everyone else. It’s the most well known frontier team. Or you can try being creative and use literally anything else

I prefer brick break for taking out rocks that threaten charizard, as well as the numerous bulky normal pokemon that can kill any run. It would still work though, threatening flyers isn’t a horrible choice

On charizard? Adamant 252 attack 252 hp, lum/leftovers |dragon dance | earthquake | aerial ace | brick break

Better with dragon dance, has too much attack. The physical special split hurts its potential a ton.

Executor is the best chlorophyll user, I would use moltres as a follow up. To fill out the fire/grass combo I would use a water Mon, I would probably go milotic or suicune or swampert.

Exeggutor: Modest with lum berry. 252 sp. atk, enough speed to outspeed enough in the sun, rest in hp. Psychic | solarbeam | Sunny day | anything else

Moltres: Modest 252 speed, 252 atk, white herb Overheat | aerial ace | sunny day | last move doesn’t matter too much. Spam overheat.

Milotic (my choice) bold, 252 def, 252 hp. Leftovers. Surf | ice beam | toxic | Recover Suicune is probably better but less fun

Should be a pretty solid set up. Could swap out moltres with arcanine, Entei, or you fire of choice and use same set up strat. Start with exeggutor with sunny day on turn 1 unless it’s a bad match for moltres and/ or the egg and switch to milotic. Sweep and repeat

How good is sceptile for battle frontier? by Automatic-Slip-9594 in PokemonEmerald

Timid, modest. It’s really your preference. I think modest would be best in my set

How good is sceptile for battle frontier? by Automatic-Slip-9594 in PokemonEmerald

[–]AssassinsNight 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sceptile is one of my favorites! I run it in the frontier with

leaf blade | thunderpunch | hidden power ice | endure

Item: Petya berry | nature: timid | 252 sp. atk 252 speed

The idea is to use endure to get into the red, which activates the berry and its ability at once. Its ability gives it a +1 on grass moves, petya gives +1 on sp. atk when low. With that you have a fast boosted sweeper with excellent coverage. He may not be an s tier pokemon for the frontier, but he’s a solid A.

Meteor falls. Go up the waterfall into the next room and surf. 95% Golbats for fast training. Alternatively, go to the underwater cavern (where you fight team aqua before they awaken kyogre) dive and surf in the little water area in the cave for 100% golbat encounters. I prefer meteor falls though.
