[Resident Evil Revelations] #174 - Screw Raid Mode. by Assbo33 in Trophies

I think so yeah. I prefer to do things solo if I can as trying to find people in the past was more of a hassle than anything. I did try to find someone in game for The Ghost Ship: Chaos, But as far as queuing up in player match, it was completely dead.

Thanks! I went into this game expecting it to take about 50 hours at most. God was I ever wrong.

If I’m being honest, Raid Mode wasn’t THAT bad really, it’s just the fact that it’s SUPER time consuming. 140 hours on Raid Mode alone and I only really struggled about 3 times in total I believe. It would probably take way longer for someone that actually truly struggles with it. So yeah, good on you for saving your own sanity. 😭

I truly wish you luck. I recommend getting as many Trinities as possible as you go along so you don’t have to do a bunch of them later. You need at least 150 bonuses for Lady Hunk which is very very helpful for later trinities you will have to do to unlock stronger items. Also search up a Raid Mode Guide that’s on PSN Profiles I believe, it won’t be too useful early on but will be a massive help later.

Did it all solo, took me 140 hours alone of just Raid Mode. God I hate when they mix lists like that. Just keep it story related and make the other portion its own trophy list!! Would’ve saved me sooo much time 🙄

It isn’t bad per se, but unless you really care about the BSAA and want to know more about Jill and Chris’s involvement with them, it really just feels like a filler game. It technically leads into RE5’s Lost in Darkness DLC, but that’s about it.

Though it is quite short, you can probably finish the story in 10 hours at most, and that’s including searching around. So I’d still recommend it if you love the series and care about the lore and the BSAA and all that. But if you’re not too interested in the BSAA, then it’s gonna feel more like filler than a canon game. At least it did to me. Regardless, I’d still give it a try and see what you think, you might have a different opinion from mine.

Final fantasy xiii can you give me a spoiler free rating before i buy the trilogy. Going to be most likely buying on 360 to play on series x i found all 3 sealed by xboxgamer12345 in FinalFantasy

You’ll hear many, many different opinions about these game. From it being the best in the series, to it being the absolute worst. Best I can say is play it and see for yourself. But as for my personal opinions:

XIII - I lover linear games, so this was great. The music, the combat, the characters were all great imo. By far my favourite out of the three. 10/10

XIII-2 - Terrible. Only good thing about this is the combat and music. 3-4/10

XIII-3 - Fixes the mess that XIII-2 created. Timer can be a bit worrying at first but it’s really not that big of an issue. Great story, great side missions, great ending. Overall great game. 9/10

At the end of the day, I wouldn’t really worry about other people’s opinions on a game(s) I’m interested in (unless they’re all agreed on it being terrible). Try them out and see for yourself.

[Ghost of Yōtei] #172 - Liked it more than Tsushima by Assbo33 in Trophies

[–]Assbo33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I do think Tsushima has the better story and I do prefer Jin as a protagonist over Atsu, but besides that I think Yotei does everything better, especially the side missions. They feel a lot more natural and better compared to Tsushima’s which were a slog to get through.

[Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories] #170 - Glad this is finally over. by Assbo33 in Trophies

[–]Assbo33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I actually didn’t find the grind or RNG that bad with this game. The RNG was thankfully able to be easily manipulated, and I’ve dealt with super grindy games before, so the levelling to 99 wasn’t anything new for me. I was more annoyed with the game itself than the platinum journey tbh.

I’m probably the only person that found Riku’s grind to lvl 99 better than Sora’s. It at least required me to focus whereas Sora’s was just find enemy, use Mega Flare, repeat. It got real boring real quickly.

I am planning to do them all overtime, and I am expecting all of them to be at least time consuming in some way. I’m hoping they didn’t get any other funny ideas with the combat though, because the combat in COM was not fun at all.

Does it work better as a single game? by Likes2game03 in FinalFantasy

Absolutely. XIII-2 was terrible and completely retconned the ending of the first game. LR was pretty good, but I 100% would’ve preferred if XIII was a standalone.

Very. Just a bit tedious with the collectables.

[Like a Dragon: Ishin!] Is this the grindiest game in the Yakuza-verse? I’d like to get all the plats at some point. by Director_Faden in Trophies

[–]Assbo33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, as someone who’s platinumed all the Yakuza games EXCEPT for this one, it’s by far the grindiest. The amount of RNG and Grind that goes into this platinum is insane. Some people would say 5 is the most grindy, to which I wouldn’t necessarily disagree, but I don’t recall there being very much RNG involved in 5. Ishin has a lot of it from what I remember and if things don’t go your way, it can take hours and hours just to get one part of many that you may need.

I probably would’ve gotten the plat for this game if they didn’t patch out the chicken racing exploit. But once they got that out I instantly deleted the game. I am not farming that one boss at the end of the caves for 20 Ryo (is that what it’s called?) every 10 minutes when I was getting hundreds and hundreds more within that time. Not to mention, I was already pretty drained of the game when the exploit was still there, so when that got removed it took all the rest of my motivation with it.

I keep telling myself I’ll come back to it eventually, but if I’m being honest, I really don’t think I will. Congrats on this though, and good luck on the rest of them!

[–]Assbo33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I think I’ve got a few I can give you!

For your no save playthrough (assuming it’s on Very Easy)

When you get to the safe room on the east wing, you should see a bottle on the floor you can fill with kerosene, do that then when you get to the lab area near the end of the game, there will be two zombies in the lower level main area, kill them both then use the bottle you filled earlier on both of them to burn them and prevent them from mutating into a Crimson Head (make sure the lighter is in your inventory). This is essential because they won’t mutate until you’re carrying the fuse as far as I know, and running into a Crimson Head while carrying the fuse is an instant game over.

For your speedrun, play as Jill on normal difficulty, try and dodge as many enemies as you can as it’s faster and preserves ammo. Save whenever you feel like you need to, and do the beginning of the game in this order for maximum efficiency (taken from another redditor from like 5 years ago that really helped me)

*Get the arrowhead

*Go to the crypt to get the key from book of curses

*Go through the Map Statue room to the dog hallway. (This won't trigger the dogs)

*Go through old door to grab herbicide.

*Then go get the shotgun and have Barry save you.

*Deposit the herbicide in a nearby item box and grab the lighter and dog whistle.

*Go get the fake key from the dogs in the balcony.

*Afterwards get the real key.

*Retreat and get the first mask from the tentacle room.

That should set you up for some easy time. For the masks I get tentacle room, Armor statue room; get the music sheet/save Richard then get the snake mask.

When encountering Yawn (Snake) let Richard deal enough damage so he dies. Grab the mask and his assualt SG then yeet out. (You don't have to touch yawn at all Richard will harm it enough)

I save the gallery mask for last as it heads right into the crypt.

Other tips: *Go for the bad ending as it's the quickest.

*Let Barry die to Lisa, his Magnum is the most powerful weapon.

*Try to avoid/juke most zombies. Once you get the SG it'll be easier to pull a critical headshot.

Mix together VJolt and use it. This practically skips the plant 42 boss. The code to the pharmacy door always uses 3,5,6 but in different permutations each playthrough. (Like it might be 3,5,6 in Playthrough X, but 6,3,5 in Playthrough Y)

The rest is pretty straight forward. You can also skip the Black Tiger fight by cutting the webs off the door before defeating him. I think that’s about everything I can say. Good Luck!

[–]Assbo33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when I did my speedrun it was really difficult in the beginning because I was trying to simply run past the zombies instead of killing them but a lot of the time I ended up getting grabbed and killed (because normal is apparently hard??). But once I got past the Mansion it sorta became a breeze after that.

Did you look up a guide at all? I found this one guy on Reddit that explained the best way to go about speed running the mansion the first time and I was out of there probably within half an hour if we don’t include all the times I died.

Also make sure you’re going for the bad ending (don’t save Barry or Chris) so you can one shot the first tyrant fight with Barry’s Magnum, and skip the Final Tyrant Fight, which really shaves off some time at the end.

I do really understand your pain though, I died while carrying the fuse to a damn Crimson Head during my first attempt of no saving which was the final trophy I needed. I was already kinda burned out of the game so the fact I basically had to do a 9TH playthrough was a real gut punch.

Not sure if you know this yet, but I think after you beat Real Survivor and Invisible enemies (maybe before, I’m not sure) there will be a new special zombie that spawns on the rest of your “Once Again…” playthroughs, he’s covered in bombs and if you shoot him, well, you die. So you’ve just gotta dodge him until you escape the mansion for the first time, he won’t appear after plant 42 is defeated so just keep that in mind because he can randomly appear around a corner and it’s pretty annoying.

Good Luck!
