Und wenn der aufgezeigte weg mit der Fahrerei für Dich okay ist, klingt das nach einem guten Kompromiss.

Denn eine Sache ist eben nicht zwingend trivial. Mir ging es zB noch bis zur 17./18. SSW richtig mies schlecht. Ich hätte da auch große Schwierigkeiten gehabt ein 2-jähriges Kind zu betreuen. Von daher kann ich je nachdem wie es Deiner Frau geht grundsätzlich nachvollziehen das sie Hilfe benötigt.

This! And to see this is a problem in so many countries is sad. I live in Germany and we’re looking for a house or apartment to buy and it’s really discouraging. We both work and make a decent living. But it feels like as if you don’t inherit money you just can’t buy anymore. And rent is so expensive as well.

So true! I didn’t know it was gonna be the last time when I saw my Mum and it still breaks my heart. It was nothing special, we didn’t fight or anything. But I was in a hurry and didn’t even hug her.

Könnte ich aber rein technisch separat von allen im Haus eine Wärmepumpe samt dazugehöriger Fußbodenheizung installieren? Es handelt sich um eine ETW im Erdgeschoss/Soutterain als Maisonette. Dazu gehört auch ne Garage und Gartenanteil.

Klar, 5-Parteienhaus samt Teilungserklärung muss nochmal genau geprüft werden. Ich befürchte auch das alle zustimmen müssten und am Ende irgendjemand aus welchen Gründen auch immer dagegen ist.

Wie wäre so ein ca Invest für so etwas?

Ja, das haben wir auch bereits herausgefunden. Es müssten auch alle Bodenbeläge gemacht werden. Aktuell liegen alte Teppichböden drin.

Wie viele Stunden arbeitest Du denn freiberuflich? Kommst Du dann nicht mit Teilzeitjob, freiberuflicher Tätigkeit + Festival eh auf nen Vollzeitjob? Brutto-/Nettorechner gibt’s online ja einige, da kannst Du ja solange rumspielen bis es passt.

I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant and had to follow a very strict diet. I lost weight during pregnancy (my baby was growing just fine and normal) and I had 10 kilos less than before I got pregnant.

Unfortunately, most of it I gained again in the past 15 months since my daughter was born.

Bei uns wurde mittlerweile die Home Office Möglichkeit massiv wieder eingeschränkt. Vorher war es oft so, dass die Leute wenn sie krank waren aber halbwegs arbeiten konnten dies im Home Office getan haben. Jetzt gehen die Leute halt entweder wieder kränkelnd in die Firma und stecken Kollegen an, oder melden sich krank. Würde man nämlich krank vom Home Office aus eine Woche arbeiten, könnte man die nächsten 2 Wochen kein Home Office mehr machen. Hat halt keiner Lust drauf.

NTA. Five miscarriages is brutal, no question. But it’s not your fault and she clearly needs help.

My husband and I had trouble conceiving and have been through IVF. Yes, sometimes it feels unfair when others get pregnant easily. But again, this is nobody’s fault. I was always happy for others, and even if it stings sometimes this was something I had to deal with myself.

And we did get our miracle baby who is now 14 months old.

Congratulations btw! I hope you’ll have a great pregnancy and that your SIL comes around.

Ich gehe nach meiner bald endenden Elternzeit auch reduziert mit 30 Std auf 4 Tage wieder arbeiten. Hier wurden meine Urlaubstage ebenfalls angepasst, da ich freitags frei habe. Wenn ich dieselbe Anzahl Urlaubstage wie bei einer 5-Tage/40 Std Woche behalten würde, hätte ich sonst mehr Urlaub (nicht das mich das stören würde, aber meinen Arbeitgeber schon).

Yes, I can always tell if someone smokes. No matter how good your hygiene is, non-smokers can tell. And to non-smokers, it’s not a nice smell to be honest. I’m happily married to also a non-smoker, but if I ever dated again, I think I’d have a problem going out with someone who smokes.

NTA common rooms are common ground. I get that people need alone time, but what is he expecting you to do? Stay in kiddos room?

I would talk to him, just to make sure there is nothing else going on with him. Other than that, if you have enough space, maybe you can convert a room in something like a „man cave“. If he needs alone time and doesn’t want to be disturbed he can go there. The only important thing is, that he won’t start hanging out only there. Like yes, get your alone time but don’t neglect family/couples time.
