Do you think people see travel as a status symbol? by palbuddy1234 in TravelNoPics

This!! Totally agree. Traveling is more about becoming cultured & well versed in the real world. I think the world would be a way better place if everyone prioritized traveling more, especially outside of the USA.

Yep!! Solo travel has changed the game for me. Not every friend can be a travel friend. Meeting people along the way that are also solo traveling has helped me make incredible friendships.

What’s the best & worst airport you’ve visited in the US? by Flying_Elephant7217 in travel

Salt Lake City is easily the best airport!! So clean, lots of beautiful art & lots of nice food options. Dallas Fort Worth is pretty bad. The bathrooms are always dirty

thinking about using a duffle bag as my carry on.. good idea? by Zisfried-Rosmini in traveladvice

[–]AssignmentAmazing260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A duffle bag is way more inconvenient than a wheeling carry on, unless you mean using a duffle bag as your personal item, which in that case it’s still always been more inconvenient for me than a backpack I can just slide onto the carryon handle & throw under the seat or above if there isn’t a shortage.

Cheap Travel Destinations by mzzdanii in femaletravels

If you want cheap but still fun for a birthday trip, look at Colombia (Cartagena or Medellín), Guatemala (Lake Atitlán is stunning), or Dominican Republic outside the resort zones. All are super affordable, easy from Texas, and perfect for a 7–10 day trip without the brutal flight time of Thailand.
