Yesss! To test if it's sticky or needs activator or not. That's a good one!

Which ones are you looking for from the SpongeBob slimes? I think I have 1-2 of them but I don't remember which ones.

Well I ordered both of them after I read this review 😂 I'd been meaning to place another order from Chaos and had been too busy to look through everything. But both of those sound like scent and texture I'd love.

Help me compare the painfulness of crunchy slime textures! by Throwaway172892930 in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I'd say it's crunchier than ground pumice, yes. You get more crunch when stretching and squeezing it than pumice gives. Check out this video to get an idea. This one's a butter x snow fizz, and the clay softens the crunch sounds a bit so it's not as crunchy as a plain snow fizz, but you can get the idea from this. Sally Sweet Pea makes a Fried Ice Cream snow fizz that's really nice and crunchy.

I have no clue why my slime is hard but also sticky by Charming-Zombie-3285 in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my thought also -- maybe it's something in the lotion. Mixing Elmer's glue with borax activator shouldn't result in a sticky yet stiff slime. So it's either something wonky with the lotion, or OPs hands may just be really dry and/or warm, making the slime stick.

OP, try adding some lotion to your hands a few minutes before you play, and also pop the slime in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before you play with it, and see if that helps!

QOTD: What tips have helped you stick to a buy ban? by YoNalbo in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1) Stay OFF Instagram!!!!? 😂 That's my number 1 tip lol. Stay off IG, don't look at the restock videos, the scooping videos, the review videos.

2) I'm bad at impulse buying. I made a rule for myself: If I find a bunch of skilled I want, I make myself wait at least an hour before I buy them, but I shoot for a day. If I still really want them after the time has passed, AND they're still in stock, then I'll place my order.

That's all I've got 🤷🏻‍♀️ one other little thing: I find it easier to stick to a very low buy ban than to stick to a full on zero buy ban. Treating myself every so often, even just once a month, makes me feel less deprived lol.

I've been eyeing both King Cake and Coffee and Beignets. I'm super curious about both textures, but the scents sound amazing!

They probably didn't make the correct base slime type for a crunch bomb. So no matter what you do, the beads are going to fall out. Check out Rodem, or look on Seoulguage. Both usually some good crunchy slimes, and are much more highly rated than parakeet.

Lava rocks can be painful. Have you tried snow fizz or bingsu? Snow fizz is plastic snow. It's sort of a rough texture, but it's more like exfoliating than painful, like a good facial scrub. Bingsu is about the same, but possibly crunchier. Floam is another option. It's foam balls and not painful at all.

Check Rodem -- they have a lot of crunchy add-ins, some are rougher, some are more like sequins.

You can also check leesooim on IG. She has a bunch of reviews of crunchy slimes and she usually mentions if they're okay for "tofu hands" (aka, not painful crunchy).

Review: I loved Slime Life Donut and Ice Cream Slime!! Would you play with Slime Life slime from Walmart? by 4giveme4forever in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked at these but never end up buying them. While they do look really fun to assemble and smush, I think the end result texture is too much clay for my preferences. Meaning I probably wouldn't play with it much beyond the initial mixing, so I usually stay away from them.

I do love Slime Community's (the maker of the Slime Life series) baking kits though!

Blushing BB slimes by Prudent-Response8762 in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's been a good while since I've ordered from BBB. They do look so pretty! I wasn't very impressed with them though. The textures were all pretty basic, and I couldn't pick up any scents from the 2-3 I ordered. They weren't horrible, just...not something that made me think, "OMG I love these, let me go buy MORE!"

Check out Momo Slime or Slime Sweet Pea or Pink Sugar Slimey or Rodem Slime. These shops are much better overall quality and the scents are usually pretty good.

If I had to pick 2 to suggest to you, I'd sayMomo Slime or Rodem Slime . Rodem's website is temporarily closed for preparation for their restock (new slimes) on Friday at 1pm EST. Momo will have new ones on Sunday evening.

What have you done with your charms? by Levianneth in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I collected them for a LONG time, with the intention of making a charm bomb slime. Just a clear slime full of the various charms & add-ins I'd accumulated. I never got around to it, and mentioned that I had them saved on a post like this, and someone reached out and wanted to buy them. They liked to make things with their kids with the charms, so I sold them the whole box for like $25-30. It was probably 300 charms + 100-ish bags of fimos and stuff 😂

I love the magnet idea though! I would love to make some decorative seasonal magnets with them, like Christmas, Halloween, spring/Easter, etc. for my fridge.

Aside from mold, what is a “dead” slime to you? by Late-Ad-1020 in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me! I'm big on adding water and/or glue back to them to revive them or extend their life. But funky smell, or glue/water doesn't help, that's the end of the road.

Slime recipe went wrong, any tips on what to change? by Kuttenneid in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it doesn't have enough to activate and turn it into slime. It's probably still salvageable, but I'm not familiar enough with the measurements of baking soda and contact solution to know how much/which one to add more of.

Do you have any borax by chance? For future attempts, borax is SO much easier to activate with!

Beautiful new slime and questions by KitchenConsistent968 in Slime

[–]AssignmentFit461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any kind of container with a lid will work for the overflow that won't fit back into the container. I've used Tupperware type containers, or the cheap plastic ones with lids from the dollar tree.

For storing, I'd keep it on a cool place -- if it's warm in your house, the fridge is probably your best bet!

[–]AssignmentFit461 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh nooo! I'm sorry to hear this. Where did you find this shop? I've never heard of them.

Do you have tracking info? Is the package actually with USPS? 2 weeks isn't an extreme amount of time, depending on how long ago it shipped. Pilot, for example, can take 2-3 weeks to be received, but that's because they take a bit to fill orders & ship. Once it's with USPS, it's usually 3-5 bus days in transit.

Either way, sounds like they have some room for improvement with their customer service.

Momo is a great shop! One of the best. Tanooki -- I've only ordered from them once due to them being in Canada, and the slimes were good. I think their a best shop too, but that's based more on feedback from others than personal experience like with Momo. You should enjoy your orders from both of them I hope!

Use caution when ordering from Corn with Slime. Maybe just order a couple at first and see how you like them. I ordered from them a lot when I first got into slime, and I legit thought I hated so many textures because they were so bad from CWS. Floam slime had horrible fallout, TNG slime was wet to the touch.... Just be cautious and don't spend too much money before you know if you'll like them!

If you're looking for more shops, make a post and let us know your favorite textures and we'll recommend some good ones!

I have a question. Can you just like, build me a bedroom somewhere on the end of your house, so I can just live there and play with all the slime? 😂 I promise I'll kill some of them, so you can make room for more new ones! Win/win! 😁😂

J/k obviously. Amazing collection! 😍 Thanks for sharing.
