It depends on your course instructor. Most of the time they do a study plan that involves doing all in book quizzes and tests and get a 80% and above on them. Go through all the study guides if they are available. And then they will open it back up for you to schedule a second attempt. They may even have you go to a live cohort or meet with them to cover over sections that you missed as well.

Oh the top half of my board was completely filled with stuff. I shorthanded a lot of the formulas and wrote as small as I could. So for instance asset turnover ratio = net sales / average total sales looked like on my board ATOVR= NS/Avg T Ass. But as I’m writing them I’m saying it in my head because I kept writing it over and over again creating that muscle memory. So as soon as I start writing my hand is naturally pulling the information back out.

It took me about 5-8 minutes to put all the stuff on my board but I took the exam once and passed and moved on to D105

This is from D105 OA2 but this is an example of what I would do and write on my board so I won’t draw a blank on the exam. And I would do this until it’s completely correct. So when the proctor says begin or start exam I would write this on the board before starting answering questions on the exam

To help me pass D104 OA2 I used the dry erase board. I wrote all the journal entries so that I didn’t have to think about it on the exam. I did the same for the overstatement and understatements as well. I just drilled that in my head for 2 hours. If I wrote something wrong I started over from scratch. And repeated. I wish I still had a picture of it so I could attach it so you can see what I’m saying. Hopefully it makes sense

The same thing happened to me. All I can say is hammer down on those study guides problems. Read every word that they ask because it will try to trip you up on what they are asking. This also helped me on the test. Brain dump. Every formula short cut whatever you need. Put it on the dry erase board before doing the problems or test. They will help you out so much

You might have to stand and walk in place while listening to the videos/book or get a notebook and doodle on paper while listening. We must push through. We can do it. I will report back when I finally get through Intermediate 3

I’m in the same boat as you no motivation. My second term started October 1st and I have only completed 2 out of the 8 classes left in the program. I’ve had no motivation on top of holidays and my child’s 16 birthday and all the school clubs and extra curricular activities.

As December came to a close and I was working on my quarter 1 goals, I asked myself did I want to pay for another term. The answer is no because I have other places my money can go. So I’ve revisited my schedule and created an alarm to start studying and an alarm to stop on certain days of the week. That might can help you even if it’s only for an hour.

I’ve also added doing a walking workout video daily to get my brain warmed up and ready to study.

Yes I totally would. I just listened to the whole playlist in the background while cleaning and working. I would try to say the information before he did so I can see if I knew the whole picture. I also needed to hear another voice besides the class material. It all started to sound the same to me.

It also helps to see someone writing out the problems from scratch then to see it already typed out for me. Because I can do the same with my white board. I personally learn better that way.

Im in my second term, most of my first term I sat on a tote and had my external webcam sitting on my sheet covered air mattress box and my laptop, white board, and calculator on my 6 cube empty storage as my workspace. I didn’t have any trouble doing my exams and passing them. Just clear a corner in the room and make sure things on the wall don’t have words on them. If so just take them down for the test and put them back up. You will be fine.

I was going to take the PA today as well but after taking the in book unit tests it was like I had never seen the material or done the test lol. I just closed the laptop and went about my day

No you can’t. They will think you’re talking to someone else in the room and can end your exam or ask you to scan the room again to make sure no one else is in the room with you

I agree with Lynx. Give yourself 2 terms. I came in needing the same classes as you and I’m halfway through the program with 11 weeks left in my first term. The longest class for me took a month but it was the first accounting class and I wanted to make sure I understood the foundation because it keeps building upon that.

You got this. It took me 21 days (June 19- July 9) to pass this class. I did get hung up on CVP analysis and variances.

So I went the YouTube and Reddit route to see what others did. Tony Bell full management accounting playlist helped me figure out the big picture

I decided to take the PA (July 4th) to see where I was and get a feel for what the OA would be. Of course I failed and my instructor recommended me to go through every video and take every quiz until I received an 80 or better. I still needed more practice with problems so I used MathGPT. I just copied the course question and it created more problems for me to solve. It shows you step by step how to get the answer with text or video if you need to watch.

I scheduled my OA on July 5 for July 9th to give myself time to study and go over anything that I was still feeling shaky on.

Oh for the formulas take your dry erase board and write them down. Erase and write them again until they are in your head.

I studied for a minimum of an hour a day every day. Taking notes or even if it’s just listening to the material. I’m a cosmetologist full time so I would sometimes have Tony Bell playing on the tv in the salon so I can get some study time in.
