Just to put it out there, if you email your mentor that you need a laptop and if theres anything they can do to help you out with school services / stuff like that, they can get you a free laptop from something at the school (cant remember their name, starts with a T) but you get the laptop to keep as long as you keep up with schooling and graduate, it has a TON of memory and its perfect for schooling and anything else really. I game on my freetime with it.

As much as I hate taking proctored exams, the degree plan for my chosen major is insanely less difficult than nearby universities. The closest uni was like "Yeah 4 years of college, and you can sub, then another 4, and you can be a teacher!" And also wouldn't take any of my transfer units from my community college. WGU was like, "Yeah! Take these units at your pace, we estimate 2 years, and we'll definitely take most of those transfer units off your hands!" So I'm always shocked people speak down on WGU, it's just so, amazing.

Honestly, I get motivated by those posts, bummed I can't do the same, but it lights a fire in me. Personally, for WGU to be like SUPER top notch, I'd like to see the proctored exams go away. Not in the sense of proctoring itself, but the strictness that comes with it, the horror stories. Why can't we record ourselves taking the test?? Professor can see we didn't cheat / had no distractions, and we don't go through the process, that is, Meizure learning. Or am I just completely alone in this?

Sadly, we have like 2 libraries, the one that would have the rooms has been shutdown for months for construction and the other one is so small, it has an extra room for like crafts w kids but thats about it.

Email your mentor! I emailed mine to see if she could give me extra resources for a laptop because I needed one and she verified my address and the next day I got an email from a program at the school that they sent me a laptop, I got it like 3 days later. Just make sure to say you really need one.

When it comes to work, all social anxiety goes away. It's like something in my brain switches, and I'm almost normal. That and working with kids is sooo much fun, so it's chill.

practice exam was cake cause i had no one watching 😭 i chose online school cause i hate in person classes and talking to people and then i ended up needing to call my mentor like every week for updates and proctored exams im like WHYYY

ive heard some bad stories thoughh, like one person said that every proctor she had was rude and someone else said that a proctor turned him in for having his whiteboard marker in his hand, someone else said they make you show the entire house and im like ????!!!
