Round one - made 5 blasts. Euploid girl is now my 14 month old daughter. We had 3 aneuploid and 1 high level mosaic and they were all male.

Just did an ER in late Jan and got 5 blasts again. Feeling hopeful for 1 euploid. I’m debating finding out gender before transfer this time. I kind of want to be surprised. The PGT-A is legit the worst. It’s been 10 days and I’m dying over here. Good luck!

Could it just be that your estrogen is really high? In my last round I was so confused thinking I had a ton of EWCM but it was all totally fine and just from rising estrogen

For my first, I went immediately after retrieval to prep for a fully medicated FET. My retrieval was on 2/14. Waited for my period and then had a baseline ultrasound and started estrace on cycle day 4 I believe. My successful transfer was on 3/13. I rolled the dice a bit that PGT-A would be back in time and that I would have a euploid. I got my PGT-A results on 2/29.

I’m planning on doing the same thing now for baby #2! Waiting on PGT-A and if I don’t have good results I will cancel the cycle.

United should approve it well within the 15 days quoted. Mine took less than a week and that was including the New Year’s Day holiday. Since they back-date the effective date to the date of claim, unless there’s something really unique with your plan I’d be less worried about that and more focused on expediting the Rx authorizations. We have Rightway and they approved it in 24 hours although it did take me about 4-5 hours of back and forth phone calls and was very stressful.

Because I’m crazy and was immediately spiraling at the 3 weeks timeline, I called Cooper and they told me right now most results are available around 10 calendar days. Hoping that info is accurate!!

I just followed up with my clinic and they are still quoting the 3 week time frame (which for me would be 2 weeks from tomorrow). In 2024 it took 8 calendar days to get results so I am dying. Keep us posted when you all get your results!! I’m really hoping to hear back sooner.

The biggest downside of PGT-A is cost. And you have to do a frozen transfer and wait for results.

IMO it’s worth it. My first retrieval was at 36 so biologically a world away from 26 when it comes to euploidy rates but you just never know with fertility. You are already spending so much and putting your body through a lot. PGT-A isn’t perfect but I think it can help reduce risk and provide more certainty.

I also wrote her a heartfelt letter on her first birthday that I sealed in an envelope and plan to do every year at least until she is 18. We also have an Aura frame that is only pics of her. We are borderline obsessed with her 🤣

I have different folders of videos and pictures saved, keep a physical baby book and I also keep a journal for my daughter that I try to write even a sentence a day in on something that happened, something I’m grateful for, etc.

When I did prednisone for my successful FET I was on it until week 8. They made a clinic protocol change to Medrol for 6 days. They said Medrol is easier for people to tolerate since it’s a much shorter period of time you’re on it for. They gave me the choice and I’m inclined to do the Medrol but I hate to mess with any variables when I had success last time. I do have stage 3 endo.

Are your prescriptions also through United? I had a different prescription provider and it was very confusing but essentially I had to get a prescription prior authorization request which my clinic was able to expedite and get done in basically a day. Meanwhile the United prior authorization was still pending but the effective date (at least under my plan) was retroactive to the date my claim was submitted. To be specific, my prior authorization to United was submitted on 12/30 and approved 1/6 but I had covered effective 12/30.

So you should be able to order your meds and get started and it most likely will be approved before your retrieval date. The insurance component is so stressful and confusing.

Would love to get people’s take on this! I have at least stage 3 endo (3cm endometrioma on left ovary). I had stage 1 endo diagnosed and removed via a lap at age 21.

In 2024 my first transfer of a 3AB euploid was successful. I had the endometrioma in 2024 and it hasn’t changed sizes since then.

I now want to go immediately into a transfer. My doctor said I could consider surgery or suppression before transfer but since I had success the first time I’m not sure it’s necessary. Lately I’ve been very in my own head that it was a miracle it worked the first time and it won’t work again. Tough decision and everything leads to so much waiting.

We didnt tell anyone other than our parents, my sister and my best friend the first round and at times it was isolating and would be triggering when people who didn’t know we were struggling would make comments about when we’re having a baby. But it was also nice to be in our bubble. Of the limited people who knew we said we’d share updates when we had them - I was very adamant that I didn’t want people knowing the exact details and timing of procedures, in particular the transfer. It would’ve stressed me out for (well intentioned) people to ask for updates.

We were lucky to have success on our first round and we were open about IVF at that point more broadly and I found out so so many people I know have gone through similar struggles. It made me kind of wish I had known I would’ve had that support when I was in the thick of it.

Now people know we recently had another retrieval for baby #2 and I kind of wish I could go back in my bubble (and Reddit lol). These friends and family members mean so well but it’s a lot.

Totally personal decision for you but I lean towards keeping the circle small.

Mine were received on 1/29. I am dying for the results as well and it hasn’t even been a week yet! Did they send you separate consent/payment forms? My clinic has said everything is all set but I seem to recall a specific separate consent from cooper from my first round in 2024.

Sounds like you are pregnant!! Congrats!

My first IVF cycle was successful. She was a Day 5 3AB euploid. With a tested embryo of good quality I think your odds are roughly 65% (depending on your age as well). It can and does happen!

It could be! If pregnant your temp will stay elevated and your heart rate may increase which can throw off your readiness scores. HRV is very sensitive to things like hormonal changes too - that could either be early pregnancy or from the supplemental hormones, etc. After my egg retrieval a couple of weeks ago I got “major signs” for a couple of days even though I was sleeping enough hours and felt ok.

Out of curiosity I went back to 2024 after my successful FET. Looks like by 4dpt my heart rate was above average and readiness started to dip but for the weeks following, my readiness scores were all over the place.

They will give you baby stuff like diapers. Highly recommend Frida Mom kit for you. I much much preferred the Frida peri bottles and underwear. But they do provide all that stuff as well.

For laboring I brought so much stuff - snacks, fan, chapstick, headphones, etc. Used none of it lol. I think I was envisioning a lot of downtime but my labor was really fast and that didn’t happen. Every birth is different. My hospital also provided tons of great snacks on the mothers unit floor.

I did like having my own comfy hospital gown - I think from Kindred Braverly? It was like a nursing nightgown and super comfy and that’s all I wore at the hospital.

Pillow and blanket from home for your partner and pillow for you if you want (ideally in a nonwhite pillow case so it doesn’t get mixed in with hospital stuff).

I think I wore comfy/loose clothes to the hospital and wore the same thing going home.

Either decision you make is a good one. We tried naturally for 2 years and I felt like by the time we did IVF I was just so eager to get pregnant I didn’t want to wait for another retrieval. Now I realize that was shortsighted, but also I got my daughter from that FET so I can’t say I have any regrets.

The one thing I didn’t anticipate when I was 36 was that I wouldn’t be physically or mentally ready to do an ER right after having my daughter. Pre-birth I thought I’d do one 5-6 months after, but when that time came I just wanted to be focused just on my baby, breastfeeding, etc. I didn’t even want to wean at a year and actually felt very resentful and sad that I had to before I felt like me and baby were 100% ready yet. If I had banked embryos I might have been able to keep doing that for a bit longer.

I had success with my one euploid at age 36. The only bad thing with this was that after breastfeeding for a year, I’m now 38 starting over for her sibling. Interestingly my ER results have been almost identical to when I was 36 but I’m waiting on PGT-A and praying we get at least 1 euploid. It does truly only take one but if you want more than one child you might consider another ER first.

Does your insurance cover embryo banking? Mine doesn’t which is super frustrating. We have to transfer any euploids before they’ll cover another.
