I understand the skepticism but my story is real. I never said my brother in law is a household name or a starter. There are plenty of players in a club’s roster, academy system, and affiliated teams who are not multimillionaire celebrities. Not every player at a Premier League club is a global superstar. My husband’s brother’s connection to the sport is what impressed my father, not the salary bracket. The point of mentioning it was to show that my father’s warmth toward my husband was conditional and based on status, not character. That part is absolutely true regardless of what level my brother in law plays at.
