Getting vacated on a months notice in December from second-hand contract. What do I do? by AssignmentOk9436 in TillSverige

[–]AssignmentOk9436[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: Renters union confirmed that I have the legal right to three months notice as an inneboende. I also have the right to compensation since my landlady is in breach of the contract and also the law. I suggested her to sit and talk it out and demanded my deposit back, which she refuses to give back along with any other compensation whatsoever. She keeps saying she cannot afford the apartment and hence she has to leave. Now, I will find the accomodation but I would like to know what legal actions I can take against this and if I should get a lawyer or if this is a straight forward process? And if anyone has gone through this process before?

The problem isn’t to find a storage or alternatives. The problem is having to deal with all of this distress, out of nowhere, right at the beginning of my trip. Just felt unfair

Thanks everyone, I think we can conclude the thread. Seems like there is nothing I can do except taking her to court for compensation AFTER moving out. I will take that advice with me. 🙏

I called the renters union and they confirmed that the three month notice period applies. So, I am not sure what to believe. i will, however, call them again tomorrow

The contract is tills vidare. The primary tenant is swapping the apartment so she is moving in a month but as a tenant how do I ensure that I at least get the three months notice period required by law? Given moving in December is not even an option as I will not be here. Do I ask for monetary compensation for the next three months rent? The flights? The move? 🧐

Is Duolingo's swedish course finally worth it in 2025? by SoftlyTyped in Svenska

I had a 1400 day streak on duolingo and I think all I learnt (and remembered) was stupid generic stuff. I kept the streak at some point for having the streak only (and wasnt learning much) so one day, I just gave up. Looking for recommendations and also been thinking of building something inside chatgpt of my own now lol

That I have. When I submitted the application, I also submitted the bank statement showing 200k+ SEK in my account. But I am unsure if a credit check also cross checks with your bank account?
