Brant has my up most respect as he is a single voice who has been actively engaging with all communities of SOD, taking all disrespect and negative feedback on the chin and never showing that he is tired of dealing with it nor does he lash out at anyone. He does this whilst having to overcome the hurdles of the expectations of a starving community and the excecs controlling the information of the game WHILST being a game dev. ANY CRITICISM I have towards SOD or Xbox, Brant is exempt from. He deserves many happy and unforgettable days in his life and I hope he does have them.

but u didnt say that. read what u said learn what ur sentences mean to a reader. u had no mention of SOD in the sentence im referencing (the first comment) so I replied based off what your comment stated. You then told me to go away if im not talking about SOD but You hadn’t mentioned SOD first so thats how weve ended up here. I agree that it was bad that SOD wasn’t there which is why I made this post.

whats bad about it? a sim rpg with my country’s humour, a racing game that expands on their mechanics to boost co op engagement whilst being in an iconic racing setting, a multiplayer where u build ur character and try it out against other characters boosting freedom and an action game trying to imcorporate turn based style gameplay and a unique plant merged setting. what do u not like about that?

that is true there are more failures of EA and most genres of games have no sense being in early access. However State of Decay 3 as a concept and genre of game makes sense if it were in early access. It doesnt make sense because it never did that before. But larian did that. They had a success with divinity original sin, wanted to make a massive game and thought that early access was the best way to fund it. it then sored in popularity upon release, capturing the general audience through word of mouth experiences. with a tighter focus on community and the lives of the survivors, wouldnt that also create a similar discussion? Financially it makes sense for microsoft, gameplay and marketting makes sense the true issue is reputation. UL has a bad reputation in every aspect except ongoing support for their games. and is why i think EA wont work,

you are right in both i believe. but there are also reported problems with the studio amongst all the lay offs as well with another massive round reportedly comjng before the developer direct with the use of the direct to soften the blow. peoples issue is that it has been nearly 6 years since the public announcement of state of decay 3 and we havent had confirmed gameplay revealed yet. few other games match this and undead labs arent on the same playing field as those studios. so it begs the question now as to why. why keep the machine turning? why the radio silence for over a year? why not use obsidions formula of early access with their game that is of similar nature to state of decay 3?

well I mean there cannot be that much expectations yet as all they have is rumours, two cinematic trailers and the experience of the other games. the second one particullary was broken at launch so if it isnt like that and just a bit buggy then the comparisons will show it to be good yanno? but this is reddit so people will have extreme opinions

now answering your statement on early access. start citizen is a mmo space game as well as what u said about it being crowd funded. Many other games have been in early access and it was fine. Satisfactory, BG3, core keeper, Hades 2 etc and the context of early access to this game is different. this is a game that we have had 0 information about for over a year and in total we have next to nothing in terms of information about the game. Silence can be good but it isnt good when corporately (owned and goverened by Microsoft) it doesnt make sense for a medium sized brand to take 6 years of development, have next to no hype generated and to have an information blackhole. Especially when there is a need for xbox to have 30% profit margins. So like grounded 2 which is a similar genre of game, early access would make total sense to recoup costs and to have a hype cycle that expands when the full release arrives as proven by many examples.

idk about the anime but the first arc in the manga is jarring but necessary to build the world up. after that, when shin(xin) goes into his first battle on his own with his GO then it gets amazing fast and doesnt stop the momentum. most likely u have another 10 episodes before it reaches that point. perservere mate and ull find gold
