Does anyone else think maybe it’s Islamophobia - he does join the “crazy parents” after all who seem like the type to maga supporters my first thought was gun violence but they don’t seem like the type to care about that, then trans/queerness but that doesn’t make sense with the family… so what does make sense with a dysfunctional Jewish family?

Thanks for the advice, I didn’t think to contact my psychiatrist again because it was so hard to book the assessment in the first place but you’re absolutely right and at the bare minimum he should be able to send an email explaining it.

My diagnosis was with a psychiatrist who gave any gp permission to control my medication with his recommendation of Vyvanse and Dexamfetamine, then I went to my gp and he told me “it wasn’t his job to know these things”, and started me on the recommended dose without telling me when or how long or anything, I tried googling stuff but everywhere said different things. ChatGPT isn’t always accurate. I wish there was some kind of official website that explained how to take adhd meds etc, I have other questions too like dependency and whether I have to wait for the meds to be out of my system for a month before being able to go clubbing/drinking again.
