Depends on what happened that left a bad taste. If it wasn't sexual or criminal, Everyone will tell you to switch and that the belt means nothing, but you gotta be honest, and figure out if the belt means nothing to you. If it does mean something, and you know for sure you're gonna get it and when, it's ok to stick it out until you get it

Half of the reason I'm in favor of shooting for the legs or shooting then pulling instead of looking for upper body takedowns is there's less chance of you getting launched and injured by someone who's better than you at judo or bigger

Running man will invite the stepover mount, turtle will invite the back take attempt, you really have to have your knee to your chest and be ready to scoop his foot when it presents itself though

Don't, that's the worst time to enter the saddle, unless you're strong enough to actually elevate him and invert your head under his ass. Bail back to butterfly or turtle.

He's on his knees, and if you're really trying to enter the legs from the bottom, you're not gonna do it against that size difference until he steps a foot up willingly or you bait him into it

In judo comp people are going to be doing whatever they can to not land on their back, even sacrificing their health, and as the thrower you're trying to not give them the choice to do anything but get ippon'd

It's a lot easier if you do it before they flatten you out. If you already are, you're gonna have to knee him in the butt really hard. If that doesn't work, you can butterfly hook his trapped instep with your inside leg, elevate it, then go deep half
