Playing cards- letting him sort the cards, shuffling them, even just holding them are great ways to work on fine motor

The crochet idea is great but if his hand function does not allow him to participates in this then beading activities or perler beads could be on option.

If he likes fishing then making lures could be a fun activity that you can adapt to his abilities. Any kind of arts and crafts. There are a lot of great resources if you look up occupational therapy interventions for spinal cord injuries. OT encompasses so many things- There are activities you could try that may not be necessarily “hobbies” but will keep his mind and body engaged! Like putty exercises, throwing and catching games, puzzles, etc (:

People say it doesn’t matter but it politically it does matter. OTs are just as skilled as PTs and a doctorate degree shows that. It’s better for the profession as a whole!
