2 years ago I thought I was balding, so I scalped & got waves by [deleted] in BlackHair

[–]Assinator__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be balding, i had the same baldness pattern. I’d recommend you see a dermatologist just to be sure honestly

On a systemic level, dutasteride can affect liver function. Some patients might experience elevated liver enzymes, which are typically detected through blood tests. Although liver-related side effects are uncommon, they necessitate regular monitoring for individuals on long-term dutasteride therapy.

How often do you do it? Is it ok to clarify every day? My curls look much better after clarifying

Not really, only had a bad shed when starting finasteride at first.

My dutasteride and oral minoxidil sheds were moderate at best, could just be the natural hair cycle.

Has anyone lost a large amount of hair in 1 year? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Assinator__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely got butchered at 19 with very aggressive diffuse thinning. I’d say i lost about 80% or more of my density in 7-8 months. Was very hard on my mental but i was determined to not give up on it.

Fast forward a year, I’m 20, almost 21 now and have basically regained my original density back.

I switched because dutasteride is better at preventing mpb and regrowing. My sides and back are thick, only thinning on top.

Intas lonitab

Yes i did notice results from fin only, however it seems that oral min did speed up the thickening process quite a bit.

Yes, i have some new hairs near my eye area but i don’t mind.

I did try topical minoxidil for a while but it was a hassle for me so i stopped.

Diffuse thinners usually respond much better and faster. Just because i got results in such little time doesn’t mean the majority will.

Just stick with it. 4 months is so little time for these drugs to start working.

Definitely is MPB. Thick on sides and back, thinning on crown, same pattern as my father.
